Not enough people have Eternal Sunshine on their list, I bought it on DVD last week (didn't see at at the cinema) and was absolutely amazed at how thoughtful it was.

I agree Detty :) I got it for my 21st bday back in Nov. but I saw it in theatres when it first came out. I really like the whole concept of the movie. It really makes you think, if erasing all the bad memories of someone u loved from your mind, meant u had to erase the good ones as well, would it be worth it? Personally I dont think it would. I'd take the good and the bad, memories are memories, and experiances shape us as people :)

I finished reading page 1 of this topic and hammered the 'next page' icon with the single purpose of promoting that movie. Seriously...it's one of the best, most thoughtful movies I've ever seen, we all need to go and view it. Now.

Other than that, I'll throw into the mix Zoolander, Garden State, Blade Runner, the film version of Jesus Christ Superstar, The Empire Strikes Back, The Shawshank Redemption, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Road to Perdition and my personal favourite: Se7en.

Loved that movie in the cinema. But it just doesnt feel right including a movie I've only ever seen once... Hence the equal reluctance to add Garden State.
