Because Hayden whined that about his main reason for signing up on these films was to wear the Vader suit. Originally, Prowse wanted to be Vader in the suit again, but his asking price was too much.

No wonder he was picked. He whines. Just about the entire Skywalker family is full of people who whine and complain.

I think it looks just fine on him...

simma down guys. the footage from the filming of episode 3 on the trilogy dvd doesnt show any bagginess like those promo shots do, and thats right from the filming. i remember seeing episode 2 promos that differed from the actual movie, so dont get all worked up over it.

Actually, Vader didnt have him released.... Vader says "As you wish..." kinda half-assedly, like he listened to the order but didnt really care. Then he released him and walked away.

I remember reading in my A New Hope novel that during that part there is a passage that says something along the lines of how Vader listened to Tarkin only becuase he had authority on the Death Star and was told to just more or less do it for the sake of Tarkin's authority appearance to others.

Actually a kung fu buddy of mine told it to me and I thought about it and thought there might be some truth to it.

Several reasons

Main, Hayden really wanted to be in the costume. If you watch the extra DVD for the Star Wars trilogy it talks about it.

Other reasons, you throw a body builder in that, just 10 minutes earlier you had an average build male and now the guy has a body of a pro weight lifter? Doesn't fit. BUT if you run around for 20+ years wearing all that crap, you bulk up.

after anakin is taken from the lava, almost all of his body except parts of the torso around the spinal cord) are destroyed and replaced with robot parts. (at least in the art, and from other things ive heard) so why not make him bigger and stronger? or at least big enough to have an advantage over normal sized people. even if that isnt the case, its not his body in that suit. "he's more machine now than man..."

and robots wouldnt bulk up after the years. especially since his arms and legs are most definately robotic, so he would need to be the size he was in the orignal trilogy the first time we ever see him in the suit. unless he gets upgrades every now and then, making him bigger, which would be silly.
