The worst fast food
2005-02-08, 5:42 PM #1
Post the nastiest fast food brand that you can think of!

I have to nominate Arbys. Imagine a hamburger bun filled with nothing but soggy, flavorless roast beef. Blech.
2005-02-08, 5:44 PM #2
McDonald's. Just about any place is better.

Never been to an Arby's though.
2005-02-08, 5:44 PM #3
I like Market Fresh Sandwiches, but Arby's would definitely get my vote for worst fast food; the bad outweighs the good.

McDonalds, I must say. Though after getting sick right after having a Wendy's double classic, my taste for that has somewhat diminished. but only for the time being.

McDonald's, hands down.

I actually like Arby's. Their curly fries kick ***.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

I thought McDonalds was a bit better in Europe than the US. Just a bit.

White Castle's onion chips > Arby's curly fries.

Umm, Arby's definately isn't bad.

Lesse, I'd have to say McDonalds. Sure it tastes okay, but its literally thrown together, sometimes cold, and you know its unhealthy.

All fast food is gross and unhealthy.

Mcdonalds.
It tastes good, but it just isn't that good for you, health wise.
2005-02-08, 6:10 PM #12
McDonald's in the US and here in Canada isn't the same. I was in Maryland sometime back, and went twice to McDonald's, and both times I noticed that things tasted even more like crap than usual. I tried again back home, and came to the conclusion that something is somewhat different, probably in the meat sources.

Either way, McD's still tastes like crap. Just less so here.

All I can say is *never* order a hamburger from Burger King at 1 AM. That was the nastiest thing I have ever put in my mouth.

Maybe I just have low standards, but I can honestly say I enjoy both BK and McDonald's.

How can people being basing any decision about fastfood on it not being good for you? Like drizzt said, it's all unhealthy.

I agree. Maybe people eat too much of it and that's why they dislike it...people also like to jump on the anti-fast food band wagon.

All fast food is not unhealthy, most places have healthy alternatives. Some places are just healthier to boot. Arby's most unhealthy rostamabeef sammich is probably a good bit better (and filling) than the nastiest burger McDonalds has. Then there's Subway.

I can't see why people bash McDonald's and BK so much, I eat there sometimes and I've never had a particularly bad experience with them. Sure they get orders wrong, but their food doesn't taste bad to me, it's just the most unhealthy thing you can eat next to drinking a tub of lard.

Healthier food should be cheaper than unhealthy food.

I have to agree with the majority here... McDonald's sucks.. I dont mind eating it, but it'd much rather have just about any other fast food restaurant's food...

On the other hand, I must say I do enjoy Burger King, but I just can't eat it too often... I dont know why.

Burger King = disgust

The food is terrible as it is and, plus... well, nevermind. Need not go there.

Harvy's (spelling) is the best fast food restraunt though.

Harvey's. And yes. They are good.

But I'd rather take that same money and get Chinese rice just down the street. :)

You'd be getting stoned by a lot of west coasters, not just Californians. In N' Out is all over the western united states. I have shirts from LOTS of places. :)

Anything Asian. Of course, I can't stand Asian food period. I haven't eaten at McDonolds in like, 6 years though. After I worked there a year and got all the free food I wanted, I kinda got disgusted with it.

Really...

Well goes to show just how much I travel. Hell if it weren't for a few months ago, I would have still believed that In N Out was only found in Southern California.

Although I've never been there, I'd have to say Taco Bell. Just the concept of fast food tacos disgusts me. Also, someone I know, who works there, told me to never order a certain menu item, and I can't remember which item that was, so I can never go there now. When someone who works in fast food tells you to never order something, you damn well listen.

I'm suprised no one's mentioned Taco Bell yet. I actually like their food (I only get the mexican pizza there), but I've heard a lot of people say that the food there makes them physically sick.

Rally's, anyone? I find they have great food, at least the joints near me. Keep in mind fast food restraunt quality varies depending on the pimply faced teenager employees of the area.

I find Rally's to be significantly tastier, more filling and leave me not sick feeling like I do after downing a double quarter pounder from Macs (their beef has a funny flavor you notice without certain sauces like on the Big Mac).

Arby's, by far.

Those of you complaining about McDonald's being worse in the US, there is a reason for that. I can't recall exactly, but it's basically low-grade meat (from diseased animals) that is treated with something. Sadly, such a process passes FDA inspections. But that doesn't surprise me. It's far more cost-efficient to sell and treat diseased meat than to kill and dispose of it.

Really, the FDA isn't too useful, imo.

I don't believe that, and I've heard all the urban legends. (when I was a kid, I heard varying accounts that said that everything from dogs to ground up human corpses from cemetaries could be found in mcdonalds meat. all bulls***, of course, but kids will believe anything)

the reason why the mcdonalds meat tastes strange is b/c they half-a** the process by cooking both sides simultaneously to save time. I know this b/c I have acquired the mcdonald's recipes. THe original recipes, the way they were years ago when the food was actually good.

the chicken mcnuggets are nasty, though. They are little more than chickens that have been crushed into paste, deep fried, and molded into the familiar shape.
