So... it turns out that I actually got 3 kisses this weekend. But I didn't get one until today. Check this out:
That has got to be the most awesome valentines present I've ever gotten in my life. And yeah, it's solid. 7 oz worth of Hershey's Milk Chocolate... *drools*
Anyway, the story goes as follows.
Meg was going to come into town on Friday afternoon to spend Friday evening and all day Saturday with me. Then she had to leave again to go back home Sunday morning. (Those of you who don't know, she lives on the other side of the state from me. She used to live here, which is how I met her, but she moved with her family, so things have been really hard. We don't see each other often, but when she can, she's going to move back here and we'll go from there.)
Anyway, she ended up surprising me by coming in Thursday night (which I was kind of expecting anyway, cause she had been excited about coming early, and dropped a few hints over the phone), and then we hung out a bit Friday night, watching TV and cuddling on the couch. (no kisses yet). Then Friday night her and my sister (who are close friends) went over to my other sister's house to watch a movie and stay the night (girls night thing), but then they ended up inviting us (myself, and my sister's boyfriend) over for a little while. So we went over there and hung out. Then on Saturday morning, my sister's boyfriend was supposed to be picking her up at around 9:45 or so to take her to the school for a gymnastics meet...
So what do I do? Of course, I show up at 9:30 with roses and valentines presents (and also a birthday present, cause her birthday was this weekend too). So she's all happy and we sit on the couch and cuddle some more, watching morning cartoons or something (I don't even remember what)... Still no kissing. No big deal. I decided a long time ago, I wasn't going to kiss her until she kissed me first, cause she had some bad experiences with boys kissing her without permission in the past. And I wasn't looking for a kiss anyway.
So then, my sister's boyfriend shows up, they leave for the school, and my other sister and Megan and I sit there for a while and hang out watching tv. Then we went back over to my house and watched a movie (Training day -decent movie, and Ethan Hawke is one of my favorite actors, though I'm not too keen on Denzel Washington). Then after that, Antiques Roadshow comes on on PBS... And of course... that's when the kissing starts. Actually, it kind of surprised me, cause I'm sitting (half-laying) there on the couch, and my face is up against hers (side to side) and I'm looking at her eyes (she's got really beautiful eyes, kind of a bluish brown color, which sounds ugly if you try and describe them, but somehow they're incredibly cool) and then the next thing I know, I'm being kissed. I was kind of expecting it, but not really, and again this is my first kiss ever, so I'm like, "Woah. Ok, this is cool." And then we stopped, and like a doofus I just kinda sat there and stared at her, and then we went back to watching Antiques Roadshow.
Then we hung out some more, almost constantly in each other arms but not exactly kissing, mostly watching TV or movies (including the Dawn of the Dead remake which I think is absolutely incredible) until later that night when her dad came and picked her up around 10:30. And she's going to be gone for good until next month when she comes back into town. So we hug before she leaves, but her dad's standing right there, so it's a touch... weird (even though her dad's really cool, and I'm mostly completely comfortable around him). Then I go inside and go to bed.
Anyway, I wake up about... 2am and I can't sleep cause I'm thinking about her and missing her real bad... So I write her a long, sappy, incomprehensible email, and then cry and pray and stuff for like an hour and finallly fall asleep at about 4am.
Then, I wake up about 7 am on Sunday morning, and I'm laying there half asleep, and at about 7:30 I hear the dog making noise in the back yard, but it's this weird tapping sound. The first time I'm not really awake so it wakes me up but I don't think anything about it. The second time, I'm thinking. "Gah, stupid dog. I'm trying to sleep." The third time I think, "Wait a second, what if that's Megan?!"
So I pull up the blinds and sure enough, Megan's standing down there getting ready to throw another stick at my window. So I quickly get dressed let her in and we're sitting in the kitchen... My parents wake up shortly afterwards, (and since Meg and I are such good kids, don't worry waking up to see us together). Another kiss follows shortly after, and then we leave for church (at about 9 am... it doesn't start until 11, but I have to be there early, cause I play drums on the worship team), and her parents pick her up from the church at about 10:45 for good.
And there you have it. The story of my weekend. It was pretty awesome. But now I'm sad, cause I won't be seeing her again until the middle of March.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.
