Ah god, I wish I hadn't wasted my first kiss on a game of dares and used it on someone better. But hell, at least I still got my virginity for that.

I believe I was also 20 when I finally got my first kiss. Up until that point I was an socially inept dork who loathed sun light and other people. I still loathed sun light and was still a socially inept dork at that point, but I had risen to the challenge of dating.

I managed to get to second base with her, then she returned to college. She seems really into me, or at least seemed to like me. She didn't seem to mind that I was acting like a total dumbass most of the time. However, I was cruelly dumped a few months later. I wrote her some pathetic tear soaked sappy goodbye email before returning to my cave.

I learned a lot about myself in that time though. When she wanted to hang out again a year or two later, I had a surprisingly clearer and more experienced take on things. I really saw that we were nothing alike and I wouldn't have ever been happy with her. Wishful thinking had just clouded my judgement.

By some twist of fate, I met my fiance shortly thereafter. I did not think they made girls that were that perfect for me. But I'd sort of reached a point of no compromising myself then, so if she was anything less I would have known.

Anyway, so turns out there was a minor negative side effect to kissing. I woke up Sunday monring with a sore throat and stuffed up nose.. and she woke up this morning with the same thing. Go figure. Oh well.. We both still think it was worth it.

Don't feel bad... I'm almost 24 and the only affection I got from a girl is a hug.
