Joseph Conrad's The Heart of Darkness. It is such a deep and meaningful novella.

that may be, but on what I know from it, it doesn't seem quite like an ideal place to live.

What was that one story...
the one with the grendel, but not hte one about him.

The one where the guy is with some warriors and grendel attacksthem... then he goes to find and kill the grendel.

THAT was sweet. I would love to be in that story.


Or Michael Chrichton's Eaters of the Dead/13th warrior (movie).
I just like the time period/story in that.

That would be Beowolf.
