Massassi T-Shirts Are A Possibility!

I would buy one. No #1 source stuff tho.

Having my username on the sleeve would rock too, but I'd still buy it if it didn't. :) No custom title tho (some people don't like theirs... like ME) unless we get to specify the text to go in place of it if we don't want it... or something.

[Edit: I agree that the URL in place of the #1 would be better. It doesn't need to be stretched either, just centered.]

2005-02-14, 8:44 PM #42
Awesome. I would get one. I like the idea of the URL instead of the #1 thing better also.

[Edit] I would get a hoodie if they are available, but defiantly a t-shirt.
2005-02-14, 8:49 PM #43
Is a non-zippered hoodie a possibility? Either way I'd definitely get a t-shirt.

Heck yes!

1 tee-shirt

We've totally done this before.

I'd like to see this even though it's illegal.

If it's going to happen, it's going to be underground. Printing these shirts would bring copyright violation and we all know how money grubbing GL is. Trust me, I would LOVE to see this happen. But alas, we'd have to go through proper legal proceedings so as to not have the LAWYERS OF DOOM on us.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

There need to be some more options on the design for us to vote on. I remember there were quite a few in the old thread. I like the idea of the URL on the back and SN on the sleeve. I would like a non-zip hoodie or a tshirt myself.

Haven't we been through ALL of this before?

...and we decided that we can't because of copyright violations.
2005-02-14, 10:15 PM #51
I must insist that we do this.

We are simply using a fairly unknown name to a well-known star wars location on our shirts. It's not like we are mass-producing the things for retail, we are making a relatively small number for our own personal uses.

F*** GL, and f*** copyright. The way copyright law has been corrupted, it is getting to be more like a patent than anything else, which is grossly unethical. Copyright law benefits the rich more than anyone else, so it cannot be a good law. Laws
should be created for the common good, not for greedy rights management.

I can tolerate a lot, but one thing that I absolutely cannot stand is greed.

For once I agree with pagewizard. That must be a sign that this is a good idea.

And I wouldn't want a hoodie, but a teeshirt would rock... Size medium, or if I'm feeling a bit... couragous, a small. ;)

And I'm for dropping the "#1 source" part also... I think probably going with the url would be best if possible. And as far as the custom titles, usernames, etc... I think the best way would be to just designate a place for some custom phrase, so the buyer can pick whatever they want there, but there's only one spot. Otherwise it could get confusing having a custom title, a custom phrase, a custom user id, etc all on one shirt. but if there's a spot where you could just add your own phrase, (limit 100 char. for example) that would be cool, I think.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

I would *totally* buy one. I want one now just from reading about it.

Bearing in mind the copyright issue, and the fact that Mikus's statement also applies to me, I would like to offer up another solution. Although most of you were brought here through a love of JK, it's the people that keep everyone coming back here, year after year and even two sequels later. I think that if shirts were to be made, we could get round all the legal difficulties by just not mentioning what it's all about. There are quite a few people here with quotes saved on their HDs, me included, and I'd be quite happy with a tshirt that had just a random quote from someone on it. For example -
Quote:
<happydud> You know a game is good when you look at the patchnotes and see "Fixed a rare crash involving monkeys."
<spe> maevie - proving dykes can't fly

Unless someone has high resolution images of the default logos you guys are hoping to use, that aint gonna work. the image is too small to be blown up to that size without losing alot of quality.
The current image will only print out to about... 5 inches by 2 inches at 72 dpi. Im not sure what the standard dpi is for shirts though.
I hate to burst your bubble, but if shirts do get made, I doubt they will have the sites (ugly) logo on them.

Figure out if you want to get the shirts printed or not first, then find a GOOD design. (let someone who remotely knows what they are doing make up a design)

I'd buy one if they were well made, and the price right.

I could do without the massive logo on the back, I'm more for understatedness. But a little room for Martyn :: MANTRAIN would be just brilliant.

:D

I wouldn't buy one. Maybe make one myself.

'Why?' you ask? Simply because if I'm sporting my Massassi shirt I really don't want everybody to see the #1 bit because it kind of sounds like I'm going to this place for Jedi Knight Dating Service. Since I am personally not a fan of man to man buttsecks the Dating Service implication is not something I'd like to wear.

That Spiral hoodie hauls.

You should put the quote "It's like the insane asylum of the internet" on the shirts instead of that #1 source thing.

What the hell connects this place to a Dating Service?

LOVE!

I'd buy a t-shirt and a hoodie if shipping to the EU/Germany wasn't too expensive.

I think a simple design only with the Massassi-Logo on the front would be the best and cheapest. Custom shirts just make it much more expensive.
Sorry for the lousy German

I think the back should have an image of a person with his soul leaving. Maybe even going into the soulbox. I'd draw it myself, but I suck at drawing. :(

Maybe I'll try it in Blender.

I would buy a t-shirt, and most likely a hoody also. That would be awesome to get your name embroidered on the back.
