Baby names
2005-02-15, 10:12 PM #1
Maybe I'm just strange, but I like to think of baby names sometimes. Though I have no plan to have kids anytime soon, I like to think of what names I'd like to give to any future children.

For my daughter, I'd want a unique name like Jade. For my son, probably something like Austin.

Do any of you think of potential children's names or wish you had a different name? Just as an aside, had I been a girl I would be named Nicole. :)

sean/shawn or deryck for a son...

and ive always liked rachel for a girl's name. or emma. or emilie. same thing kinda.

it is tough to find names that sound good with stockert as a last name.

omg u rock! not joking when I was with some friends I had joked that if I changed my name I'd consider Jadess as an option.

Um some girl came up the other day (well two actually) one named "rayne" the other named "passion"

I loved both names. I always thought that if I had a boy (thats if I decide I even want kids one day, I have no clue yet) that he'd be named after his father or he'd have to have a handsome name, like Jeff, or something.

And with baby girls I've thought of "Iris Amber" which is my mother and sisters first name and Amber just went well with it. and then I had another which i completely forgot. but it was going to use my middle name Susana. I already forgot it though oops. Well I'll come up with something else unique

I like Rayne and Iris. But I would never let my son be named after me. I'm named after my dad and the financial confusion is not fun.

For a girl, Liz is by far the name I would choose. After that, Melanie, Courtney, and maybe Sarah or Jessica.

For a boy, who the hell cares? Call him Lugnut or Og or something for all I care.

My son will be named Gavin Marshall Shanas (marshall is my grandfather's name)

my fiancee has a name picked out for our girl... but I don't remember it. :o I've been planning on naming my son Gavin Marshall for as long as I can remember. :p

[edit] Grace Dianne Shanas... That's what it was. :p

Kedri
or Kak

But seriously, I think for a boy it'd be Rick, for a girl maybe Natalie.

All I know is that with a 13 letter last name, I'm not giving my kids long first names.

13!? My fiancee was adopted by her grandparents and has a hyphenated last name... that's only 11 letters... Holy crap man. That's a long name.

Hmm....

I like "Joseph Cline" but "Joe Cline" eh. "Joshua Cline" is another candidate.

For female..."Sarah Cline" seems to fit. I like "Victoria Cline" too.

But this is many seasons away for me to think about.

I'm putting a Lincoln down that your last name is German, Avenger.

I'm actaully going to call my first son Jake, but I'd quite like to call him Optimus Kak....

<.<

Haven't thought of a girl's name yet, but rest assured, none of my kids will get beaten up at school because I gave them a stupid name :)
2005-02-16, 6:23 AM #23
I already have my list started :P I want kids! :D

I've never really been fond of the newer names for girls like Jade and Rayne and what have you. I like names like Alice, Juliet, and Claudia. I guess the weirdest name I have is Yesenia - but it's just so pretty ^_^ As for boys I like names like Troy, Graham, and random biblical names. Yay baby names!

For a girl I like Madison and Elizabeth, and for a boy I kind of have my heart set on naming him after his father.

If I'm not yet included in that, +1:D

I like Jake and Seth as well. Ethan is another nice one. My folks considered naming me that.

For a girl, I do think Rayne is nice, as well as Ellery

Jade's actually one of my favorite girl names too. If I ever had a daughter, I'd name her that.

The boy's name MUST start with a J, so probably Jonas, Jona or John.

There's no family tradition for girl's names though, but I'll stick with something Biblical because Biblical names rock.

Haven't really thought about it, but Sebulon, Herbert, Hubert, Hjalmar, Nestor, Fjodor or Eyedread are cool names.

Not that I'm planning on having any at least this decade...
