I know a lot of catholics. And about 90% of them hate the stereotypes, and are nothing LIKE the stereotypes.

Think before you post something stupid next time, Mikus.

There is a difference between "Catholics" as in the 90% of people that you know and "Catholics" like the nuns who teach religion at my school. I should have specified more carefully what I meant, but I really don't give a damn what you have to say, or your petty insults.

Real people -> Common sense
Religious figures -> LOL I JUST MAKES UP TEH SCRIPTURE LOL

[Edit: Quesadilla, I bash catholics because I am one, and it would be unfair for me to bash a religion that I am unfamiliar with.]

:confused: okay...

The nuns at my school were more liberal I guess. They taught sex ed and stuck me alone in the convent when my parents said I couldn't attend the sex ed class....>_>

That is a depressing thought, and this is my best answer for it.

If you, in any way, equate love with depression, you probably either have serious mental issues, or you're a teenager.

Haha, this is true.

My view is that God does not cause bad things to happen to punish people. It's not even clear that he causes bad things. Bad things happen. And then once something bad happens, God doesn't swoop in on chariots of fire to help out those who suffered. Instead it is those who have charity - "the pure love of Christ" - that are inspired by that love for God, and thus everyone else, to do good.

Matthew 22:36-39
36 Master, which is the great commandment of the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Also, God doesn't just give you courage to talk to a girl. You need to make an effort and try your very hardest at something, and then God will help you (if it's the right thing to do).

Wow. You're the first mormon that I've met (sorta...) that actually knows something about God. Hail and well met. There are a bunch of Mormons at my school that don't follow their own friggin rules.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.
