Ok, i've just read through the entire thread and now that i've had a glass of water to help with my laughter overload i've decided that this discussion isn't going anywhere and can be closed.

As an admin I get the right to have the last word in any argument, so here goes:

1) It's naive to expect a thread to stay on topic past the first page, and requesting that it remains on topic is never going to work once it has already gone off-topic

2) Discussions evolve, i'd argue that it's actually bad to force a thread to stay on the original topic for too long.

3) Your mom.
