Apple has an idea...

If you guys knew half of the calls and things I know and get about Apple products and deficiencies and shortcomings, you wouldn't want an Apple.

I tried out Slack, but not for much more than a day or two. :p

Care to name a frontend or two? I haven't really looked into them yet. :)

porthole is the only one i've actually tried. I was actually thinking of kpackage, but I now recall that it does not function at this moment with portage.

I like gentoo-portage.com as my "front end." =P

As someone who has used both OSX and WinXP, and has enough knowledge to maintain each on their respective systems, and to use them on mid to high end systems (G4/G5 vs a custom built with 512 ram with AMDxp3000) I'd have to say that I prefer OSX.

Don't get me wrong, I hate os9 and WinXP is possibly the best windows to ever be released, but once you know the basic ins and outs of both of these, you really can compare them.

Some have touched on it, but the majority of complaints come from the fact that people just aren't familiar with a Mac of any kind, and something unfamiliar is marked as being bad by our primordial instincts. I think once you really dive into the os, and know how to work it, you can see the difference.

But that's just my iOpinion.

EDIT: I think this is the first time I've posted in over a year and a half!
My counselor asked me what university I was considering. I said FU.

What can I say? I like Flordia!
