Holy crap...ghost?
2005-03-19, 7:28 PM #1
Okay, first off, this IS NOT photoshopped, nor has it been altered by any other piece of software. I just pulled this from the digital camera and this was reflecting off the glass in the background... i cut out the people and made it a little bigger so you can see... anyone else see that???

(if the pic dont work right away refresh every min or so right after i post this, i have to make sure i get the link right)

One. I've seen a ghost before so I'm pretty sure they do exist..
Two. It's hard to say if it's real or not since I wasn't there when the pic was taken an uploaded, but dude.... that's freaky. Ghost? Yeah, if what you say is true then I'd say it's a ghost.

Creepy.

while that is possible, i dont think thats the case, the glass gets cleaned regularly due to the dogs in the backyard, they tend to make the bottom of the glass very nasty.

then it's on the inside.. there is nothing that will make me think it is anything else.. u can even see where the nose was smashed by the glass when it was pressed agenst it.. Was this picture taken at a party?

If its a smudge, take more pics of the glass.

'Nuff said.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

No it wasnt a party, and there hasnt been a party at that house in at least 2 months. Usually when my step mom cleans the glass, she does both sides because peoples hand prints get on the glass around the handle and such. This picture was on the camera for a few weeks, so I doubt the smudge, if it is a smudge, is still there. I have another pic where he didnt use the flash and you cant see any smudges, but theres not much light back there in it.

well, that would make since.. the reason you see the smudge is becuase of the light bouncing off the of grease that is on the glass from the skin... trust me.. it is a smudge on the glass

It's funny i was showing my dad over the phone because he has the same pics on his comp, and his wife tends to think that it was him in the reflection. When you use the camera your face is directly behind the camera, and the flash. Not to mention my dad has facial hair. To me it looks like its looking right at me or my gf (who were in the pic) but was actually next to the camera when the flash when off, hence the half-lit face.

It could have been a person's profile some how imprinted in the mirror by some trick of the light and the camera lense.
2005-03-19, 9:08 PM #17
the eye part that you are referring to is either a lens flare, or it is the brow mark on the face smudge

Well, it's obvious that it isn't a face imprint. The light from the flash lights the face, showing us it's 3D. My best guess is that it's the camera taker's face refracted in the window. I believe this for 2 reasons, as the flash is comming from the location where the camera would rest on that person's face. Second, because I'm a skeptic, and although that looks creepy, it's hardly a good thing to jump to that conclusion. For all you know, someone could have been outside. Although, the lighting looks as if from inside.

All right. Assume it's a ghost. Has this house ever been reported to be "haunted." I do not know about your state but here in CA, it is required by law to report...abnormalities. Such abnormalities include deaths, paranormal, shoddy wiring, etc.

I wanna buy a house where a bunch of people died. Does that make me sick?

As for the picture... I can definately see how it could be a face print, except the lips don't look right at all for that angle. Something else interesting is that above the 'cheekbone' is a tilted eye... looks kind of freaky. Anybody else see that?
2005-03-20, 12:24 AM #25
I think it's fair to assume it's some kind of reflection...
2005-03-20, 12:26 AM #26
Hm... I don't think it's a reflection, because the image is so isolated. You'd expect to see more reflected, like the backs of the people in the picture. Maybe we could get the full picture?

dun dun dunnnn...

That is actualyl really creepy. I'm kind of iffy on whether ghosts exist or not, partly because I've never seen one I think. The shadow under it kind of makes it look like it's wearing a coat of some sort. The way the nose is really highlighted though makes me think it's not a ghost...but still...

I noticed that too. It almost looks like it's wearing a cloak with a large hood.

Eh. It looks more like a reflection of some description.

I agree with Kirby - its most likely just the reflection of whoever took the picture.

And even though it's secluded, you have to think that a clear surface won't shine unless there's light bouncing off of it. The other people are in the way of the light so there wouldn't be a reflection of them.

In either case, it's unlikelly it's any ghost figure. There's too many things you can explain but not prove for that to be anything but normal.

Or if you'd look at the flare from that light you'd see that it's very random and that it's just a composition of lots of flared light that seems to make the appearance of a face. Big woop.

I think the most likely conclusion is that it's a reflection of the picture taker's face. The flash is right where the camera would be as jedi kirby said.

show us the full picture.
