I haven't studied Latin yet, but this is what they're supposed to mean, or what they've been translated as.
The first one is a traditional maxim, and should mean:
"Whatever you do, do it wisely and keep in mind your purpose"

The other one is one of those "memento mori" phrases. Typical for tombstones along with a "tempus fugit" or winged hourglass. It's supposed to mean:
"They all wound, and the last kills"
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.
