Where do you think Episode 3 will rank?

I think it will take 2nd place, behind Empire Strikes back. My order right now is:

1. ESB
2.RotJ
3.AotC
4.ANH
5.TPM

Not to say that I think any of them are bad but that is just my ranking of them.

I don't really know where I'll rank this one. I really like all the OT movies, but for different reasons. So far, RotS is looking really good though.

I feel there are two schools of thought here. Those that rank OT(in logical order) then NT (also in logical order) but never the twain shall meet, and the second school is a more open minded approach.

Maybe I'm just making that up, but I don't know :s

Most likely it will end up fourth, after the OT.

However, it's really hard to say. I would like to believe it could be better than ANH or RotJ, but in reality it's a bit risky to hold hopes so high. But it will certainly be better than TPM or AotC.

I haven't seen any spoilers yet for the new one (I hate ruining the surprise) but here's my list right now:

ESB
ANH
RotJ (Main redeeming factor is I grew up with it I think)
AotC/TPM(Tied for last, I didn't like either other than the Yoda fight)

Honestly, if it counted I would put the ewok movie between RotJ and the prequels. That's also probably the "grewupwithit" factor again. I'm starting to think that had to be the reason I used to like a lot of things, you can sell kids anything.

I must be one of the few who actually liked TPM to some extent... I thought darth maul was kick***, as was "Duel of the Fates"

*shrug*

er, well, I forgot about JarJar... I always ignore him though. Ani was kind of annoying, but definitely more bearable than Jarjar.

But the birth of vader will definitely put 'Sith' up higher, so it will probably end up in the top 3 somewhere, most likely above 'Menace'...
