Time to decide - IE, or another browser - help!

Firefox and thunderbird both are really really great.

What I love about firefox is most of the stuff that has been mentioned here, but I'm also learning japanese so the moji extention is very handy (Translates kanji to hiragana and english.)

GBK, could you direct me to the link that opens links in a tab? I've been looking for one but haven't found it.

Thunderbird has the best anti-spam system I've ever seen, It get rids of 98% of my spam email, the occasional message will slip through but I'm not complaining. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Firefox is fast, efficient, and tabbed browsing is great.

Not only that, but when used in combination with leechget, it > all.

I can't speak for opera, so I'm not going to bash it nor support it. Give it a try and see which one works best.

Oh yeah, then theres leechget, This program is incredible.

You've always heard about download accelerators and junk, but this is the first one that really works.

Lets see, on my old modem it took me from 2.50 to 4.50 KB/s, on my new modem it took me from 4.50 KB/s to 6.50.

And with my friend who is on cable, it boosted him from 190 to 210.

So yeah, its a great program. Give it a try, I've got the download with extention in firefox, so any downloads go through leechget.

LeechGet + Firefox = Great combination.

That and leechget is free.

www.leechget.net There is one limmitation in the free version, you can only have like 10 things queued(sp? drove me nuts trying to find a spelling, but no success. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] ) in it at one time.

But thats it, its even got a bandwidth metre and everything, its great stuff.

Definatly get leechget if you need a download manager, and Firefox is a GREAT browser. <3 it.

According to MS: No.
The truth: Yes.
The solution: Leave it installed, use something else.

I used to use Firefox, happily for a month or so, but it got wigged out, so I tried avant. It is amazing! It has everything I like about IE and the stuff I liked about Firefox (without some pages messing up) and TABBED BROWSING already installed.

Here's another awesome feature of Firefox:

hit ctrl+t to pop up a new tab, and type in the address bar: dict queued BAM, the browser jumps to the dictionary.com definition of queued.

I just started using Firefox yesterday after reading this thread. I can't believe how bad IE actually is... I just had no point of reference before to compare it to. It's great.

I just don't like opera.

My browser of choice is firefox. IE is just so lacking in many basic features, like popup blocking and tabbed browsing.

I remebered something tonight that really pissed me off: IE lacks even basic support for tansparent PNGs...

Your right, it is. However, TBP lacks certain features that I use...
