New Zelda video

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so I thought I'd bring it up.

I haven't got much time online right now, so I'll probably come back later and add any thoughts, but I have to say that this just looks better and better. Especially the apparent size of the game.

(note: probably better to download the video from IGN, in my opinion. Zelda.com is stream only, with no controls, although it's a bigger res)

That looks like it might be worth playing. The only Zelda game I played was the Ocarina of Time.

And of course, it's in Quicktime, which never works consistently on my computer.

What system is this going to be for? Gamecube? The graphics don't look half bad.

For GB it doesn't look too bad. We're so used to graphics for comp games that came out several years later.

I always thought that Zelda 2 was the worst in the series. Just my opinion though.

Majora's Mask is the most underated Zelda game ever. I love that game sooo much.

Wind Waker had smoother gameplay than Ocarina. The combat system from Ocarina was kludgish, the time travel gameplay was uninnovative and frustrating, and it had a framerate in the range of 10 FPS.

Don't get me wrong. I love the game dearly, but Wind Waker is a better game in every sense but the graphics and the open sea.

This new Zelda game takes everything I love from Ocarina of Time and mixes it with everything I love from Wind Waker. It can't possibly be bad.

Yes I mentioned this awhile ago, the forest reminds me of Fargorn Forest. The ghosts reminded me of the ghosts that helped Aragon in Return of the King. The horseback battle reminds me of the Gap of Rohan battle. Lastly, the spider Link is running away from is very reminiscient of Frodo running away from Shelob (not to mention the camera angle and cave).

Everyone's going to hate me, but I loved OOT, loved Majora's mask, and hated windwaker .. I hated the smoother gameplay n crap. I LIKED the tedious travelling and klunky feel of OOT. It just had that FLAVAH in it.

Thus, this new zelda is making me want to play video games again. Which means it's awesome. OH YEAH.

I agree OOT > all of Zelda......Does anyone know the story behind this game? Will Link be a kid again and turn into adult or just adult or what?? I also heard this is to be released in june...is this true?:p ;)

I personally consider OoT one of the best games I've ever played out of the series with Majora's Mask in close second. I don't really care much for the 2d zelda games except for Link to the Past because that was a decent game. I haven't really played Wind Waker much beyond what I sampled in Best Buy so I can't really comment on that other than the fact I don't like the graphics. This new Zelda game is gonna look awesome because it looks like its bringing back the greatness of OoT. I personally didn't care much for kid Link as I do adult Link so the new Zelda game is gonna be a real treat :)

Wind Waker is my favorite. Infact, it's the only one I ever cared about enough to finish.

I liked Wind Waker a lot, although I don't know if I could say it was my favourite. But it does look like I was the only person who enjoyed the open sea aspect. One of my fondest memories of that game was coasting along as the sun was setting, with only the sound of the ocean for company. *sighs* Bliss :p

Game looks slick though.

LttP was great fun, and OoT had its moments. I liked playing around as Deku Scrub Link in MM, but i hated the time limit and never did much with it.

My friend just got a gamecube and has WW though, so i'll be sure to try that one out.
