I got my ticket online for the 19th at night.

I wanted to get one for the 18th at my local cinema (yes thats right, a day early) but for some odd reason maybe to do with some kinda insurance thing for all i know, its over 18s only .

I was the first one in my city to get it. The theater owner said so :p But yeah, got it for May 19th, 7:00 PM. I cant wait.

I'm confused, after the clone wars.. where do they go?

I'll believe it, when I see it. I still have my doubts.

And if anyone tries to claim that the stormtroopers in the OT are clones I will personally do something very bad to them!

Im thinking they die eventually due to some kinda defect Jango had that would've killed him, that or it will have something to do with the age increasment thing.

To add onto my post, about 18 years pass between Rots and Anh, with the clones aging twice as fast, for all we know they could die of old age depending on how old they were when they were in the clone wars.

Wasn't there a rule a while back that said "do not quote the rules in threads" and then they got rid of it?

And yeah, I understand that the clones have probably died in that time period, but there's something in the visual dictionary that talks about how they set up more cloning facilities and used different hosts after the clone wars were over.

According to a few character histories, stormtroopers are not (all) clones.
My main source for this is in the Starwars Essential Guide to Characters. The stormie who said "Look, sir, droids" in ep4 is Davin Felth. He had been warned that the empire was evil and not to join with them, but he did anyway. When his commander and crew fried Owen, Beru, and their farm, Davin found out the empire WAS indeed evil, but he stayed in the imperial army and leaked info to the rebels.

Anyway, I am also very much looking forward to this movie. I think we might even have an unofficial class (mostly my calculus class, but prolly a few others) field trip to go, since our last day is the 18th, and we have our senior day of reflection on the 19th -- after the reflection we all hit the theater I guess (assuming we can get this all to work out)

They've got Stormtrooper Academies on several planets, most notably Carida. After the Clone Wars, academies were open for both troopers and Navy pilots.

As well, (as mentioned before) the clones age twice as fast. They were only 10 years old at the start of the war at geonosis (a biological age of 20). I don't know how long it is between AotC and RotS, but it's about 20 years from the end of RotS to the beginning of ANH, so by ANH all of the original clones would be around the biological age of 60. Now, if the Empire still had access to cloning facilities, then a number of stormtroopers could indeed be clones. Also, closer to the end of the war, the Republic started making some clones more "unique" to act as commanders and such (letting them have their own distinct personalities, and some were even cloned from hosts other than jango).

Now, granted, that all comes from the EU, but so do all the non-cloned stormtroopers. So, I think it's safe to say that there's enough room, canon-wise, for non-clone stormtroopers to exist in the EU without conflicting with the films, unless the third film specifically goes and contradicts the whole aging thing...

Well, Zahn's books explained fairly well, I thought, why the stormtroopers of the OT weren't clones. And Lucas seems to value Zahn's work more highly than most other authors, so if we can trust anything that is EU, it's probably him.

Oh wait a second -- the stormies in ANH can't be clones b/c they can't seem to aim... (they got lucky hitting Leia)
