I downloaded the score today. It's pretty freakin cool. if you have XM Satellite Radio, they're playing it like a track per hour on ch. 27 all weekend.
Definitely dramatic. Lots of choral passages and a nice several nods to cues we've heard in the OT. (For instance we hear a little from the duel between Luke and Vader on Bespin in RotS). I don't think it's better than The Empire Strikes Back, but it's probably the second best. It's kind of boring on the first listen, but I bet after watching the movie, it'll stick with me better.
Kevin Smith and AICN are giving this thing favorable reviews. They say it's a thousand times darker than TESB. Of course, good reviews two weeks before will stir up a buzz amongst potential ticket-buyers and word of mouth will send the message to other buyers who are more skeptical about RotS being any good. So we'll see what happens.
