Nice idea I suppose, but it's no conincidence that this thread took FOREVER to load. Pretty neat all the same, I wonder if it will catch on (and preventions as well).

Updated MP3GIF Generator:
- Now handles an error if you select a bad image or a non-image file.
- Now detects MP3s or other excess data embedded in GIF files and allows you to extract the GIF without the MP3 and/or the MP3 without the GIF.



It appears that when .NET loads in an image and then is asked to write it back to disk, it writes the same thing it read in, bit for bit (NOT counting any excess data in the file!). This is how my program figures out where to split the two files, but if this turns out not to be true all the time it will fail... I will have to test this more.

[Edit: Oops. My little "un-MP3GIF" thingy broke everything. I recoded it a different way, and this time TESTED it thoroughly, and it works as designed now.]
