In JK, throughout the single player missions, I only ever used Force Jump, Pull and healing. And occasionaly blinding in MP.
The other force powers were intersting and cool additions, but you really didn't need to use any of them at all, even in MP. Just using a few of the "base" powers gave you a real feel for what a Jedi was like from the films. Even just using guns you still got a solid feel for how we all saw it happen in the movies. Same goes for level design - it all just felt very Star Wars.
But I never really felt this entirely with JO or JA. Especially JA.
Sure, in JO, the new lightsaber was fantastic - it looked and moved even more like how it was in the films. The weapons were pretty accurate, too, bar a few sore thumbs - I don't ever recall seeing a flack cannon in the movies. But I didn't get that solid feeling of the Star Wars universe. JO was pretty good, but JA just didn't have it. At all. Sure, they pimped up the lightsaber - almost a little too much - but everything else just seemed overdone. The only force powers that resembled anything from the films were Jump and Jedi Mind Trick. I don't ever recall seeing a big light-bending circle or a funky blue glow come from Luke's hand when he pulled the lightsaber to him in ESB. Force protection covering you in a solid green sheild? Come on.. that isn't Star Wars.
Even in Episode 1 and 2 the sabering wasn't as complex and overdone as in JA. Wall running? Bouncing off walls? This isn't the Matrix. It's Star Wars, dammit.
JO's levels weren't bad for recreating a Star Wars feel, but it was just lacking something. JA was really good on the Hoth and Tatooine levels, but some of them just didn't fit at all. The giant rancor was just plain silly, and the Rift Sanctury level felt like an Indiana Jones movie.
In conclusion..
JK's rough edges > all.
