Probably cool, I've decided to not watch any AC stuff before the movie itself, though.

Looks crazy...Sephiroth better be in it though.. It just doesnt seem like FF7 without him... It's like Star Wars without Darth Vader. :p

Play now or go jump off something high, it's an easy decision.
nope.

Sephiroth is in the trailer...
Think while it's still legal.

FF7 is definatly overrated. I despise people who say it was the best one.

It was good, yes, but far from the best. FF3j is the best.

I despise when people think 6 is the best, really, it was crappy. As was 9.
nope.

7 and 9 owned your face.

A good movie shouldn't rely on the fact you read the book or played the game.

I can't wait until FF7: AC comes out. I'm really looking forward to it. I love Final Fantasy, though I haven't played many of the newer games. My favorites are 7, 6, and 9 (in that order).
2005-05-18, 2:28 PM #15
Ew, 9...

Anyway, I too haven't played the entirety of 7. I could NOT sit through the midi's blaring through my computer's speakers. That and the absolutelly SLOW gameplay, and on top of ALL that, the dialogue was... CRAP. There's probably a great story, and some great gameplay. But I can't play more than 5 minutes without getting a headache, becomming bored, or realizing that FF8 is far better than this.

FF6 was amazing, and was the only one that didn't have a whiny, emo main character (except 5...but 5 was still a mediocre title). Locke, Gau, Setzer, Sabin, Edgar, and Cyan were all extremely cool, and extremely original as far as FF characters go.

Besides that, Glyde said FF3j, which is for the NES. Cabbage kids and whatnot.

It's amazing how most people either love 9 (personally, it's my favorite) or can't stand it.

Onion kids! Get it right. :x

FF6 is my second favorite, with FF8 right behind. Then 4, then 9, then 7. Then all the rest in a little clump. If we count the 'special' FF games, then Final Fantasy Tactics is the best one.

Tactics is awesome, but I never beat it.

I have (Although it was very, very hard.)

Who would've known that the final shot to Ultema would be a dictionary thrown by my Ninja/Lancer?

Sequels shouldn't really be on a different medium than the original...

So Final Fantasy 4j+ was a bad idea, I take it.

Meaning all the Final Fantasies after Final Fantasy 3 for the NES.

I was absolutely giddy while watching that. Vincent Valentine. :D

And the games after FF3 were still the same medium. In this case, the medium is "video games." The only thing different is the platform. By your logic, DVD movies and VHS movies are different mediums.

That's actually your definition. By medium I was thinkin he meant on different consoles. Technically, this is the same medium as FFX at its core.

I loved FF7, and I am seeing this. End of story.
DO NOT WANT.

When I saw Barret raging and Cid (my favorite other than cloud) come in and stab some monster in the face, I was like, badass.

FF7 was... bizarre. The dialogue was atrocious, and there was a giant cat thing. And a floating casino. And all sorts of other crap unrelated to the general story. 90% of the game was padding. And random encounters are stupid. Maybe it got better... (I was at the bit just after the stupid floating casino, I think) but I wouldn't bet on it.

Looks cool. Love the "One Winged Angel" song.

Seeing the whole gang work together was the best part of that trailer.

the pc version sucked because
low-res videos
game-breaking bugs that required USER-MADE patches to fix
various graphical glitches that also needed patches
iffy controls unless you have a game-pad

other than those, it was the same. None of those bugged me that much because I'd already played it and didn't really care that it was a little sub-par. Besides that, it just feels more natural as a console game.

No.

No.

No.

The game has no game breaking bugs on the operating system it was released on, Windows 98. Anyone who did, has jacked hardware. I ran the game ON AN ONBOARD graphics card, AND onboard sound card. Both of which sucked more than anything.

The only problem I had was the carboard sleeve it comes in KILLED the cds, and one wouldn't read passed a certain point.

The videos were THE SAME resolution as the ones on the Playstation.

What the hell kind of person plays a game that they know damn well isn't going to play great without a gamepad without a gamepad? An idiot. Thats who.

Just emulate the Playstation version.

Yeah, Playstation Emulators have gotten alot better in recent years.
