Massassians, tell us your short - term plans for the summer...

Summer is almost here.
What do u plan to do? What are your aims?
Listing:
- Levels to make
- People to meet
- Holidays to go on
- Instruments to learn
- Relationships you need to work on.
- Work to do.

My plans:

This is the end of uni. Its going to be difficult to pass this year, due to illness and depression. My parents are going to kill.
During the summer I wish to work and go to the beach a lot. I'm also thinking of learning the Violin for a laugh.
Of course, GOTTA work on stargate stuff!!!
Relationship wise, Ive met an amazing girl, but the timing is all wrong, and I'm scared we'll seperate over the summer. 'll do evrything I can to hold on though.

Its a mixture of good and bad.

Well....

-I hope to get some nice (and easy) work to get money for many things (Star Wars DVD's in summer, for example [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif])
-There's no people to meet.
-Maybe I'll go on some holidays, depends on money and possible company...
-As much as I'd want to master my skills with synthesizers... I'm probably too lazy to work on it.
-Relationships? If there comes one...
-Work to do: Every project for JK/MotS/JO/JA that interest me, play some games, try to get some music done and lots of other stuff.

That's what I think I'm planning to do.

- Oh now there's the tough one. one of the girls i was interested in recently got a boyfriend. but ive got some other girls' phone numbers... so yeah... i guess if i ever get the balls.
- Work? HAH!

Other stuff... eh... try to make a sheild large enough to keep my mom at bay when she sees my report card for this quarter (i do have an A in history and biology, but english and algebra 2 are totally different stories)

  • Play tennis. Lots. I really need to get better before i'm beaten by anouther freshman.
  • Play Tribes 2. Lots. I't seems like an awesome game, i'm jsut going to have to get used to the multitudes of different items.
  • Go out more with my girfriend. Two times in 5 weeks isn't very good, but she's always doing stuff. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]
  • Earn lots 'o money.

Wow. I'm in exactly the same boat as you my friend. I took my gal out to dinner last night, but now the semester is almost over, and she lives 200 miles away. Not an incredibly long drive, but one that I'm not likely to make over the summer. We'll keep in touch through phone calls and AIM though, or at least I hope so.

Other than that, I'm working this summer. I'm a manager at our city pools. I also have a vacation planned for the end of July. I'm gonna spend a week at a horse ranch, tending horses and learning to ride. I'm also gonna take Chemistry at the University, because I don't want to take it during the semester.

  • Code lots of GTK 2.4 apps in Python using pygtk 2.0.
  • Code a CGI site in Python
  • Get some friends

-Work at a local elementary school
-Research and buy a laptop for college
-Get Elite Force II
-Keep up playing my baritone so I'm not horrible by the time I go to GIT

For now:

- Ask out a special person in my life and spend the summer with her (I wish!) :D

- Revise for (and pass) my GCSEs (quite an important one, that!)

- Go on Army Cadet summer camp

- Go to Turkey

- Go to a concert to see my favourite band, Muse

- Get my GCSE results (and hopefully pass)

- At the end of it all, go back to my old school to the college there. (Assuming I pass my GCSEs :p)

- Start learning korean
- Start learing Swedish
- Start memorizing Hiragana / katakana
- Maybe memorize alittle kanji
- Get a japanese penpal over email.

Umm..

-Forensics nationals in Salt Lake City for a week
- two weeks of debate camp
- working somewhere, I still need to apply to a few places
- polishing my programming skills
- possibly learning a more in depth programming language than PHP
- SLEEP! Much, much needed sleep.

Taking a management class in the summer 1 session, then gonna work 7 days a week the rest of Summer probably, and take a week off in early August to visit my family in Wisconsin by myself and go clubbing with my cousin.

I'm going camping with my best friend in the summer. And then straight after i'm going to this Christian conference.

Hopefully get better at playing the guitar, and form a band with my friend whos going to relearn the guitar this summer.

Relationships wise - hopefully get to know a girl at my college a bit better

I'll be working my 40 hours a week in a factory, and spending my free time with friends and my girlfriend. Thats enough for me for the summer
