I don't konw if anyone's already started a prom thread, but mine was this weekend and I had a blast (proving for the 6th time that it is very possible to have a blast without a date.) My mom was even nice enough to get me a corsange! :) Anyway, I had such a good time, and I actually got some cute pictures (which are fairly rare for me, I don't photograph well usually) so I'm using this as an excuse to post them. You guys post your prom pics too if you have them handy as well as any prom stories, etc...

That's outrageous! I can't believe nobody has asked you to be their date! What kind of shmucks go to your school? I mean, I certainly would have asked you out, given the chance... >_>

In any case, when I went to prom 4 years ago, I was lucky enough to nab a very nice and sexy-tall friend from the drama club. The prom photo I have is pretty old, so I don't have the same haircut anymore. For some reason I look drunk in it too

I didn't go to mine. From what I've heard, I didn't miss much.

Went to mine. Had fun. Looked swank in a three-piece tuxedo & white gloves. Aced the Zorbas. She looked very glamorous and graceful. We aced the Weiner Waltz and Tango. Except for dancing and looks, we didn't turn out to be quite right for each other. She was a bit stuck-up, spoiled and a little too prude for me, eheh.

It was worth it though.

I'm the one in the light green dress. While I was fully expecting prom to suck arse, it was actually pretty fun. Go figure.

I went to my senior prom back in high school and I didn't have a date. I didn't really have fun there though, wasn't my thing I guess. Well, its 5 years since then and I've got a formal event coming up this summer, here's a preview :)

Well it's been a while since I've had chance to visit the forums, but thought as everyone was showing off pictures, I'd add my own humble set :)

Whilst the virtual directory for all the pics is here, the pics that actually have yours truly in it are this one and this one ;). There may be a cookie up for grabs if anyone guesses correctly who the guilty party is ;)... in fact actually, make that "in case anyone cares..." :p

Ignoring the single aspect, it had its highs and lows and was generally a very good night :). The pictures taken from afar in the great hall are of Jules Holland performing (he was fantastic!!!) :D

And that as they say is that - the last ever uni ball I'll be going to as my degree is finally over! Sat my last exam last thursday, so it's all partying and editing now :D :D

I did the Homecoming thing, I did the Sadies thing, but I never did prom. To me, the best part of the dances was not the dance itself. Instead, the dinner and whatever "after-activity" we would do was infinitely more fun than the dance. So when prom came around, and I saw how much it cost, to be honest that really turned me off to going. I could go see a movie and go out to eat with friends and essentially have just as much fun as prom would have been. Not to mention thre wasn't really anyone I particularly wanted to go with that I hadn't gone with already, so that sealed the deal.
