You could always get a new hobby. Like fly tying, or coin collecting.
Life is beautiful.

I would play if my router's firewall didn't prevent me from playing JK.

Lost the disc. Otherwise I would be playing, still. :(
DO NOT WANT.

Okay. Die already.

You can play with people by IP (On MSN, AIM or MIRC).

Haven't played in nearly four years.
Pissed Off?
2005-05-24, 12:39 AM #10
With my school year ending this week, I think I'll be checking out those IRC channels. How often are games played there? How many people are usually in the channel?

thanks heretik, i'll check those out.

EAH sounds familiar. I was in CESC (before they changed to CE)... only stayed because I'd made some friendships with a lot of the clan's leaders and had a good rep as CESC's NF saberist. I remember playing a lot of fun matches with some cool people from the once-legendary sabering clans (forgot the names... it's been too long, but oh man, those were the days).

Hopefully I'll get to play sometime this weekend... JO sabering just isn't as fun ;-)
2005-05-24, 6:50 AM #12
Sorry, but JO sabering is much better than JK.

Yes it is. The force powers are also cooler, I missed 'Destruction' & 'Seeing' though.

Oh, and I play it sometimes. SP though. It's much better.

I'd even edit it if hackers would actually turn out useful and crack up the source code.

Clans suck.

JK sucks.

JK clans REALLY suck.
2005-05-24, 9:52 AM #15
Does that mean massassi sucks too?
Seeing as it's the "#1 Source For Everything Jedi Knight" and all...
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

Yes, Massassi sucks.

The forums however, ROCK.

quickfire editing!
nope.

Yup.

About Rob's statement that the rest of Massassi sucks besides the forums, it might not be far from the truth, although a bit extreme. Who still goes to check the downloads daily? Or the editing tutorials? The rest of Massassi is for a very small group of people, much smaller than those who enjoy the forums.

I was there, and it was fun. Why don't we do that more often?

I cannot actually remember the last time I played JK. We're talking years, not weeks or months. It was a great game though, was it able to run on a Mac (what I have now)?

I played it yesterday for the first time in a few months. It's still good fun.

I like JK. I play it a lot ( mainly because its one of the few games my computer can run...) Anyways, I think it is great. And if its better sabering you want, then i suggest you check out some of the patches here. I've got some sweet saber patches with JO type KEYs.:D
Help me Massassians...You're my only hope...

I think it's funny that *alot* of people don't even know that Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight exists, yet had Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Thier ignorace amused me.

Sometimes games that may look like sequels are based on books.

IE, say they didn't make Episode 4, but released Episode 5.

Get it?

Good.

Now STFU. :)

I've been here way longer than you.

I have ROOTS, and there isn't a weed killer you can bring that'll get me to go away.
2005-05-24, 9:03 PM #29
Just because you're here longer does not mean you don't kill the spirit of Massassi. Electric chair's down the hall and the 5th door to the left.
2005-05-24, 9:09 PM #30
Still. Not. Going. Anywhere.

Really though, it's people like you that bring the place down.

You CONSTANTLY remind everyone how much 3 years ago ROCKED, and how much right now SUCKS.

JK is over, just because I advocate moving onto new and better things doesn't mean I KILL the spirit of Massassi anymore than you maim it.
2005-05-24, 9:11 PM #31
So now the spirit of Massassi is both dead AND maimed? You guys suck! ;)
Life is beautiful.
2005-05-24, 9:12 PM #32
Well no, it was maimed, and thats why it's dead.
2005-05-25, 2:56 AM #33
I don't think it's maimed. I still play SP and rolling all alone in my little firewall protected room. :(

I would be arranging games and the like if it weren't for it, and if I knew how to get rid of the jerkiness on my uber-lol computer.

Seriously, Massassi isn't as dead as it could be. People are still working on things.

I still play on a weekly basis. Although, admittedly, it's usually with my own personal beta tester... I'm surprised with all the projects in development that there aren't more people who still play. It's a shame, really...
2005-05-25, 6:27 AM #35
Now my exams are all but over I'm probably gonna install it on all our machines in my house. 3 player fun!

(MLP fun coming to a LAN near me!)

I beg to differ...

...because the only reason massassi came into existance is because of Jedi Knight. Like it or not, JK is very much a part of the spirit of massassi.

And you may have been here longer than me, but I have more posts than you, n00b  ;)

When Massassi was launched it was pretty much only about the editing. I remember the days when it proved to be a fantastic editing source due to the wealth of tutorials, it's what got me visiting here in the first place. Even the forums revolved much more around the game.
