Palpatine is obviously more powerful than those on the Jedi Council, as he can have tea with them and they can not sense his dark intentions, in fact, he must be projecting good intentions as to not raise suspicion as someone who is "blocking all vibes" would in the presence of the most powerful Jedi Masters.

I just went to see ep 3 again today, and I disagree with these views. I think Palpatine, and just Sith in general, would use any means necessary, trickery especially, to get their way. Palpatine needed something to finish convincing Anakin that he should join him, and the fight with MW was placed perfectly to accomplish this, so he manipulated it to where it would help him the most. I still think GL should have found a better way to have Mace Windu be killed, however. As to Palpatine's power versus the council, Mace does mention in the film that he senses the dark side around the supreme chancellor. I was also thinking that the Sith, in order to keep hidden from the Jedi, have trained themselves over the generations to hide, so this wasn't as much of a problem as it would be if the Sith War was only fifty years before.
As to the least jedi-like jedi, I have to say Mace Windu, just because his methods are so unorthodox from everything else. From another point of view, however, he is also the second most senior member of the Jedi Council, and in that sense is one of the most jedi-like beings.
On another note, anyone who says this:

should be hanged, along with all those who say anything "raped their childhood." The most evil man in the galaxy should not be referred to by a childish nickname, just as your childhood was not raped by something you chose to watch or read.
Tomorrow holds a brighter future.
