[Edit]

Ok I'll make it simpler to understand, my guild leader and I got into south silithus in World of Warcraft.
And we found this.

...

Blizzard probably doesn't want anyone to know about it.
So I'm not posting more than 2 screenshots.

we believe it's for high-end raid content that will be added in later versions of hte game.

There ya go.

You get to south silithus by getting over the Scarab Wall finding a way over the mountian.

With Hyjal you just die and walk through the door. Nothing is really interesting in those areas you just get banned if blizzard finds you in there.
2005-05-29, 11:54 PM #13
They can really ban you for being there?

They better not, because I'm going to explore now.
America, home of the free gift with purchase.
2005-05-30, 3:54 AM #15
No they don't. They ban you if you use what mobs might be there for exploits, or it's a place you can only get to with speed hacks.

I heard the raid instance was going to be super long, in a "Bigger than Molten Core" sort of way, with what seemed to be biblical battle arena at the end.

Shots arent mine, they're from Thottbot. But apparently all you have to do is find the giant entrance door somewhere in Winterspring, die right next to it, then rez on the other side of the door. Or you can just explore it as a ghost.

There's apparently the ruins of the Alliance bases that were flattened by that Undead dude at the end of Warcraft III, and of course the World Tree itself:

I figgered out and used that technique like 8 years ago (lie) for the Caverns of Time. *That* place was awesome.

There is a half hour long exploration video that shows a ton of things like this, that I have. If anybody is willing, I can send it over.

That kinda sucks. MC already takes waayyy too long :(
2005-05-30, 1:11 PM #20
This would be for a full raid of 60s with a lot of time on their hands :x

The exploration video shows about 4-6 boss arenas, and I'm sure there are more.

The beauty of World of Warcraft doesn't lie in the graphics, it lies in the art. In my opinion, nothing I've seen in a game (though it might technically look better) can match the beauty of flying into Thunder Bluff at dawn.

I think he meant the architecture/scenery.

They didn't show off much I think is what he was saing.

Anyway...I have yet to see thunder bluff. Alliance 60 priest.
I would say, however, that looking at Menethil bay from the ship/docks is amazing at dawn/dusk.

I <3 Thunder Bluff for what it is, but I don't think it's that pretty. I'd argue that the Elven lands are *much* prettier.

I'm also very fond of Thunder Bluff, and all of Mulgore for that matter. Most of my guildies say that flying over it never get's boring, espescially at night or dusk.

Never been to Thunder Bluff, but Theramore Isle, the big fortress right on the water in Dustwallow Marsh, is amazing at dawn.

Screenshots really dont do WoW justice. The beauty is in the cartoonish character of the graphics. Not to mention that the animations are fantastic, I love watching my rideable tiger's shoulder blades go up and down as he runs.

Definately. I had seen pictures of flying on griffons/wyverns, but my jaw dropped when I actually did it for the first time.

Hmm... if you can be banned for being there, shouldn't you blur out your clanmate's name incase the picture circulates or something?

Actually, WoW has the most amazing art of any game I've ever come across, save maybe Diablo II. It's actually ART, not just a bunch of technical textures.

That's because it comes from blizzard. All of their games have had amazing art, all the way back to Diablo 1.

QFFT. The extra F is for something naughty.

All of Blizzard's things are beautiful, no matter what the graphics are. It's the art and style that brings it out.

Starcraft: Ghost however, is both amazing graphics and good art.

I'm sorry, the leeroy video was hillarious the first time I watched it. I was half-asleep, but it was something that all WOW players can relate to, making it more funny than it might be to a non WOW player.
