My point is that it is stupid that he keeps changing them, and making it impossible to get copies of the originals... I am not arguing that he "doesn't have the right" to change them... I am just saying that it was kinda selfish of him to do.

did anyone mension here that lucas had the idea for the prequils in the 1970s, but never had the technology to make the effects the way he wanted.... this is george lucas's story we're talking about, seams some people act as if they wrote it and they own the rights to it..... george lucas has a right to change his story if he wants, modify it, or add onto it.....

So much else I was going to respond to but this one really caught my attention. I was six when I saw the original in the theater and clearly remember seeing "Episode IV" and the Anchorhead scene in the theater.

OK. I actually don't clearly remember any of that but I had not heard that the addition of "A New Hope" and "Episode IV" had ever happened. Do you have a cite or other reference for this?

It's awesome! the MAIN problem with Star Wars was at the very end you find out that Vader is a wrinkled old man. Now Lucas has corrected this issue.

But what Timewolf says DOES make sense. Just because the point of view does not match yours does not mean its wrong.

Some people will prefer to keep things the same, some will prefer mods that make things appear and sound more detailed. Personally I enjoy the DVD's, they don't significantly change the story (does it really matter if Greedo or Han fires first? Greedo gets fried, end of story), but it's a hell of a lot nicer to look at.

Really, I don't care what Massassi looks like, as long as the content remains the same I could live with a pink skin. Honestly, my preference would be red or blue, Brian's is green, but I'm not here to judge the layout, I'm here because it's a JK site with JK content.

the new SINGING scene in RotJ with the CG things newrly ruined the whole movie (I know the original scene was bad... but the new one was 10 times worse...) and I hated the little beak thing they put on the "ground monster thing"... concidering that you are digested over 1000 years... it would seem to have a slow metabolism, so it would move extremely slowly, if at all.. unless it needed to move quick... it did this in the original RotJ.. but in the new one, it has all sorts of energy..

It's a Sci-Fi/Fantasy movie. Things don't have to make sense.
