That may actually work! It would also pause at a moment where the Empire has the advantage, which would add an interesting sort of suspense. I, too, wish to try this...

I thought it was only Lucas, Kershner, and 1-2 other people that knew at first. I know Hamill didn't know till RIGHT before they shot the scene. And I believe Jones didn't know till he did the voice work.

Anywho, as long as we're on the Trivia fact, here's one I love: Return of the Jedi was original called Revenge of the Jedi. And that is why I love the title to Episode 3 even more. The way RotJ and RotS work together makes me giggle every time, especially when you think of the first title for RotJ. =)

My Kids shall see it the way I saw it, at age 3/4/5 [god knows which] they shall see 4 at my Grandparents house [hopefully]. Followed by the others the next times they visit. Then 1,2 and 3 at the same ages I first saw em.

Oh, and since it will be [god willing] at the grandparents', they shall see the original VHS.

I have an iron-on patch that has the Revenge of the Jedi logo.

The OT DVDs also have the original teaser trailer for "Revenge of the Jedi."

Hey, don't forget that when it comes time to show your kids the prequel trilogy, you also have to show Clone Wars between 2 and 3.

I think for the "4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6" order to completely work, your kids would have to be old/smart enough to figure out that Leia and Luke are related, while/after watching ESB and before watching RotS. Otherwise, wouldn't that bit get ruined? If I remember correctly, it's not really revealed until RotJ. I have yet to see Episode III, but I think I saw someone post that they say the twins' names in RotS or somesuch. I just think it would be better to find it out through RotJ's way compared to that, but that's me.

I think that that's an excellent order in which to watch the films, and I might insist on that order when I have kids and inevitably introduce them to Star Wars :p
