Well, I finally got it up and running. I am a night elf warrior, because the other classes I wanted to choose were disabled or something. I ran around in these dark woods until I found a guy in a town.

He told me that to restore the "balance of nature" I needed to kill lots of little animals. I went and killed 7 little animals, and he gave me gloves. Then, he said that 7 wasn't enough, and that I should go and kill as many as I could. If I did that, he would give me a cloak.

I ran around killing animals until I forgot to let my health recharge and got killed by a pig. I ran around as a ghost and haunted people. I put all my clothes in my backpack and ran as around as an underwear ghost.

Then I came back to life and killed some more animals. Then I found out I was killing "young" animals instead of normal ones. I'm supposed to go deeper into the woods to kill the grown up animals, but it's dark in there and I'm scared.

Then, I started dancing. (Language Warning) (WMV Warning also)

or you can save your time and play Daoc instead of WoW. WoW is going to go down the drain just like starwars galaxies and planetside. WoW doesn't have anything original and new.

It just can't keep up, <sigh> or you can find out yourself and not get the best of your mmorpg experience.

or... i can read what they say they have planned from their site, and listen to all the beta testers(one of which happens to be my uncle, a person im in direct contact with, who also plays Daoc full time, he and many others who are in beta agree that WoW won't make it very far without some drastic changes) and say, ok sounds like a good game, but when you compare it to DAOC only thing that is better are the graphics, and soon mythic is upgrading to fx2 graphics engine, so they will be right up there with Wow in graphics.
Wow from what i read will lack pvp extremely and doesn't portray enough pve differencials.
Looking at the classes to, wow (haha pun)they have a LOT of work to make them work, and to make them more interesting.
And quests? you will get bored from quests so fast its not even funny, there simply won't be enough to do, and people who have experienced daoc will completly agree.

... Planetside and SWG both have yet to go down the drain. Planetside is one of the best FPS's I've ever played in my life, and SWG, while not being very fun to play, IMO, is still an amazing game, and it is FAR FROM dying.

Just because you're a DAoC fanboy doesn't mean WoW is going to suck. Get over yourself.

Feh, as of right now, Final Fantasy XI is the reigning king of MMORPGs in my opinion. They are introducing PvP, which is really really awesome, theres a solid story, a solid fanbase, lots of people playing and a great economy. The only problem is that, if you dont like grouping, this game just IS NOT for you

You guys are never going to sway Whintt, he is thick-headed. Whatever he says MUST be right :/ . Not to bring in personal life but...

He has 4 computers, one for every member of the family. They all play DaoC, they spent 200 dollars buying each of themselves Trials of Atlantis. Whintt has 3+ lvl 50 charactars, and his parents play just as much if not more then him. So, yeah he is a DaoC fanboy, he just can't see how freaking awesome WoW will be.

I tried explaining to him that Blizzard never releases anything unless it's top quality, but he won't listen. Oh well. Poor him His loss. I bought DaoC and the expansions, but it hated my PC, so I stopped playing, for 1.) It kept crashing ever 5 mins, I went linkdead, because Windows 2000 is a meanie 2.) Money...and 3.) I want to save up for WoW.

Not to mention, like especially with the night-elves, holy bajeesus, those are some epic massively multiplayer eyebrows they have!! Like they totally need a two-handed eyebrow proficiency or brow-beating skill. Theyre so fun and fantastic

Well lots of opinions have been trown around by folks that haven't even played it.. but Thrawn hasn't said much in response..
I have read from other journals that some of the quests are repetitive (namely the Fedex quests), and countless 'rest sux!!!!' posts..

I'd love it if Thrawn could post up an analysis of WoW.

YAY 4 posts in a row.... anyway the graphics for WoW arn't that spactacular, i have been pinned down by that statement many a times, and it doesn't really matter about the graphics, it comes down to the gameplay. If any of you blizzard lovers figure that out, and how repetitive Blizzard is with their games. Then i honor you. Whoo, whintt. No offense, but you are one of the most annoying people I've ever met.

Anyway, the game is pretty darn great. There are some bugs, but Blizzard is doing a great job fixing them, doing so at an alarming rate. I ran across a scammer, but nothing people can't handle.
