We've been paying $2.00 a gallon for a long time now. Good old fashioned oil industry price gouging, best followed up by a good old fashioned oil industry crucifixion. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Or maybe the oil is just getting more expensive to extract? Maybe we've passed the production peak? Maybe I'm just spewing radical propoganda?

You have it EASY. Do not be complaining until you have dished out $2.20 and higher. We're getting raped in SD County.

heh. we've still got it around $1.60 per gallon.

And slaw, we're not there to get oil, and we've stayed as far awawy from doing anything like that so people can't say that was our purpose in invading.

I live a little bit north of you in Long Beach, and gas is now down to about $2.15 average. That's still bad, though. these are summer prices in spring. Normally, it's $1.75/gallon at this time of year

If it goes higher, there's probably going to be a riot, and guess who's going to start it? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

I have the same problem up here in Canada. About a month ago, gas was only 69.9 per litre. Now it's 89.9 per litre. And by the end of the month it's supposed to get up to 100.9 per litre!!! > [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

I guess I should have indicated in my post it was a joke [http://forums.massassi.net/html/rolleyes.gif].
Some students at my school seem to really believe that, though, and I think maybe a teacher, too. Not totally sure.

[edit]Kieran's right. In my Pre-Cal class, we've indicated that bottled water indeed costs more per gallon than gasoline (I think the same went for soda?). Amazing, huh?

of course a gallon of water costs more than a gallon of gas. A single bottle of water costs as much as a gallon gas.

OH! we should start trading bottles of water for gas! win-win for both sides!

Sorry, slaw. Way too many people believe that is why we invaded Iraq, even though there has been no evidence to support it.

1 gallon = 3.79 litres, so you're only paying 53 cents US per litre, which is only 76 cents AUS.

Oh *****, *****, *****! I paid 95 cents per litre last night, which is realtively cheap! We're going to be paying $AUS1.10 per litre soon, which is like paying $USD2.91 a gallon!
