I wish it was $2.00 per gallon over here.

Costco (known for having the cheapest gas) where I live in Southern California is charging $239 per gallon. Sucks when it costs $37 to fill up my Camry :P

I go to this no-name place called United Oil to fill up. I have yet to see anyone beat their prices.

I saw on the Fox Report that there is a gas station in Malibu, CA that is playing $3 for the 91 octane gas.

The gas here is now usually 1.21€/liter.

1.21 euros is (according to xe.com) now 1.44 US Dollars.

1 liter = 0.264 US gallons (according to Google's converter).

0.264 x 3.8 = 1. 1.44 x 3.8 = 5.47.

We pay 5.47 US Dollars per gallon for 95 octane gas (we have 95, 98, Diesel, and fuel oil which is essentially the same as Diesel, but illegal to use in Diesel-motor cars as you don't pay the Diesel tax). We have worse salaries, and we pay more for other automobile-related expenses (insurance, inspection etc).

And the price is on the rise "due to the current global political state". What this all comes down to, basically, is this: ****!

What Krok said.

Was filling up the car for dad today and cursed at the price. Funny thing is, I remember cursing at it when it was at the horrible price of 1€ too.

think its a bit more than that....

taking average price per gallon of say £3.50 (is as high as £4 in some places...)

exchange rate of $1.76 to £1, comes out to $6.16 per gallon in the UK!!!! 3 times what your paying in the US.

you've had it easy in the US for years, time you caught up with the rest of the world, you use the most yet pay the least, something not quite right there.
