Does that mean shoot a penny with a bullet or as a bullet? :o

*hugs Finland*
- Only country in the EMU to not mint the € cent.
- (significant) Tax (yay socialism) already included and pre-accounted for in all prices.

Mmmmm. Nice round-ish and expensive-ish prices. I've got a nice Finnish €0.01 coin though. They're pretty rare.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Yeah, and no more 19.99 prices either. Of coarse 19.95 would still be around, but prices would have to be tax included. It'd make things allot simpler.

Ha! The lowest denomination of coins in Australia is 5 cents, and yet I just paid $34.98 this very day. They just keep the 2 cents. Though, if it were $34.97, I'd only pay $34.95. Of course, this never happens...

Incidentally, tax not being included on a price sticker? Then what's the point of the sticker???

I do the simple thing with 1p and 2p Sterling coins, put them in my dad's coppers jar. He claims that all those coppers are worth something.

Some British political party (The Monster Raving Looney Party) has a solution to the 1p change that is constantly given out when pay 99p for something, by creating a 99p coin. I suppose a 99p coin will save all the fuss. I suppose it could work in other currencies.

If the McDonald's was a franchise, it counts as a small business.
