OMG Luke Skywalker is a Sith

The proof is in the movies!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes."

Luke: "You can either profit from this, or be destroyed."

Luke: "This is your last chance Jabba. Free us, or die!"

Hey I didnt wanna say it but the proof is in the pudding. Luke is headed down a dark path.

Well, what do you expect? His master was Sith, too.

It wasnt so much an absolute as it was the truth. Luke was giving him a choice; let them go free, or pay the price. A Sith would not have given him such a choice.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Read the books. I find Luke to be really badass at times. (Ok, a lot of times) but only in the books. It seems he can go from dark to light at will, and feed his combat with anger without going insane.
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

"Oh."

That, and Luke WAS headed down the Dark Side. You know, he wore black and all that fun jazz. It's not until the end of the movie that he sees himself going down the same path as his father.

I see him and Kyle as the best Jedis ever. It sucks in JA that they ruined Kyle. Dosen't he prefer his sawed off bryar rifle more than his saber?

Forget years of training, I found my dad's lightsaber in the graage, and that makes me a jedi!

Yeah... Luke was going down a dark path, it's pretty obvious. Look at his style during his fight on bespin, and the final duel. He's giving into his anger, but then let's go after his father's death.

I think Burrie or someone dug up this piece of trivia... if Luke had killed his father and joined Sidious, he would have been given the title of Darth Secretus...

Please. Palpatine was such a wuss. All Luke needed was some brambles and a picket fence, and Palpatine wouldn't have stood a chance.

Hey, Luke gave Jabba plenty of chances to free them, something a Sith would never do. Not to mention he was acting out of self defense by doing it that way.

That line was stupid. Especially since "Only the Sith deal in absolutes" is an absolute.

Anyone in a rubber suit could beat Palpatine.
DO NOT WANT.

BATMAN COULD BEAT PALPATINE???

Yes, palpatine would die of disgust from the Rubber nipples on his last suit.
nope.

Man, the Adam West Batman could beat Palpatine. I mean, one "POW" and it'd be all over.

Exactly. It is why Jedi have powers to blind, push people off cliffs, pull their weapons away from them, etc.

Point? Jedi can be offencive too. But it's defencive offence.'

BUT ALSO: Luke was heading down the Dark Side too. Ever since he defied Yoda and Ben's warning not to go to Bespin. He went anyways.

Not to mention Luke used Force Choke on the Gamorreans when he entered the palace. He was walking a fine line between light and dark there.
2005-06-17, 11:59 AM #29
i think luke is one of those jedi who tends to walk between the paths though more toward the light side

Unfortunately, in many of the EU books, look is a pansy. He's always afraid to use even the basic of force powers because he's afraid of slipping towards the dark side. I thought we established it was more about what you use the force for instead of how you use it? Granted you could say that lightning requires hatred and dark side energy to generate, but lots of light Jedi have done their fair share of choking I'm sure.

I thought Luke was a badass at the beginning of Return of the Jedi. He walks into Jabba's palace calmly, force choking the guards like it was nothing. Then he nonchantly says to Jabba that he should give him back his friends or die.

True dat.

And on Endor he became an arrogant SOB, bossing around Leia and all like "Yeah you take that one, I'll take these 2 cause Im a JEDI AND I AM BETTER THAN YOU!!!!11!1!"

We don't really know the extent of palpatine's powers. We do know he almost effortlessly used the force, though.

I think I read somewhere he just rendered them unconscious somehow.

Obi-wan and luke are the most badass jedi ever.

Second, I am really disappointed that Yoda is/was such a pansy. Mace Windu kicked palpatine's ***, but yoda couldn't do anything to him.
