Your Old Clan...
2005-06-17, 8:20 PM #1
I just revisited my old JK Clan's site, the Rogue Jedi's Haven. For those who don't know, I still do belong to the RJH and will be a part of me for a very long time...even though my first clan was R_enegade (and I left for good reason).

Anyways, this site brings up memories. Lots of them. Very good memories of the good ol' days on the MSNGZ. Memories of people flooding the chat room, flameing each other, saying "omg u n00b die!!!!!!" over the ZF...memories of people that hold games for no reason but prestiege.

This site makes me feel like I walked into a temple, but this temple lies in ruins. I walk around it alone, reading what has happened here..why it was destroyed. How it was back then (even though it was only 5 years ago when the RJH died the first time). I look and find old friend's names on list, people long gone. I remeber that the Haven's relations with the zone, and it brings up memeories of friends long past.

The Rogue Jedi's Haven (RJH)

Hmm....

Anyways, post anything about your old clan on the MSNGZ, if you were in one. And if you wern't in one, post even your name, or clans you remeber and liked, or ones you hated...whatever you want.

[F.Y.I. Note that the RJH is still alive in Star Wars Galaxies, but 95% of its orignial members are not in it.]

I was never really in a clan.

I hate them with a passion.

First clan I was in was [url=malice.narshaddaa.net]MoF[/url]. (They have a crappy site, I know.) I joined mainly because of HooyerD, possibly the greatest FF Bespin player ever. I'm also friends with a lot of the members, Malice and the others are good people, but the clan is kinda dead.

My primary clan is EAH, the greatest JK hax clan of all time.

I was in one, never played with them.

I created one, never went anywhere with it.

I haven't thought about either in forever.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

first clan i was in was TSM (the silver mandalors) then a friend and myself split off and started TML (the mandalor legionair) some of you may have heard of tsm but probably not tml... lets see my zone names were TML_raven, and my hacking alias was... an_evil_potato, just because it was fun to see "so and so was killed by an evil potato" i was also part of this clan called SIN for about a week... dont know what became of that one.

This is all reconstructed from vague and incomplete memory so its accuracy should not be trusted.

I tried to start a clan called TSE (The Sith Empire) and it failed.

WOO.

I was in RGF for a little while. I was offered to go to the elite devision but declined because the clan was stupid, anyway. I do, however, stop into their chatroom every once in a while and see all of the old people. Wow, that was something. Some of them even remembered me.

Originally JC (Jedi Clan), it transformed into JTC after JC was taken. (Jedi Training Clan)
Some of the members I remember from that clan were JTC_Intrepid, and JTC_Greatest_Dane (who was my cousin, the one who got me into Jedi Knight)

The first clan I was in was WLP. I then made LSM (Legion of Saber Masters), that broke up and I joined SDO. I became a Councillor but the clan pretty much fell apart as JK declined in popularity. We tried expanding into other games but never really took off.

I have only ever used a clan tag twice, and both times it wasnt really a clan. The first time was while playing Day of Defeat, I would go by [OwP]DSettahr... OwP represented the Online Warfare Pact, and by using the tag it was supposed to indicate that you were going to play the game the way it was meant to be played, not cheat, and not be a jerk. OwP started to go down the tubes when people started to think that by using the tag, they were entitled to boss other people arround and tell them how to play.

The second time was as [NRH]DSettahr. My college had an event called dorm wars, where the various dorms participated as teams in competitions such as capture the flag, trivia games, etc, to earn points. One of the events was a Counter-Strike Tournament. Players indicated which dorm they lived in by the use of clan tags, and since I lived in Nathianel-Rochester Hall, mine was [NRH].

I avoided clans like the plague.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Clans. The worst part of my young gaming memory. TBC - The Best Clan, TMT - Three Man Team, GOW - Gods of War, to name a few. When you're like 10 it feels so good to have a sense of belonging and pub around with people you know.

My favorite clan ever (which occurred in my more recent, intelligent years), asm - ain't **** m8z, actually got somewhere in CAL, the most popular league for CoD, before dying after dropping out of playoffs.

I like how clans that are serious go nowadays. Instead of just messing around in public servers with a common tag, you can have a real match with rules that are followed that counts for a league.

The clans I hated were WLP, because they were all stuck up little nerds who ended up cheating in the end. PRINCE because they all thought that by having the prince tag that they were oh so cool, and liked to boss people around. I really disliked all the IGFers because they'd just hammer on us RGFers (RGF was quite obviously more of a community while IGF was quite obviously more of a game-oriented group) and would think that just beating us meant that they were the better clan. Of course, none of them were nice, and all they did was beat people and call them newbies.

I hated clans before I joined RGF, and I still hate clans now. I get offered to join a clan pretty much every time I play CSS. I don't bother, though. No sense in wasting my time.

I remember I once applied to join FIA when I was like 12/13, and whilst I passed the "audition" match (or recruitment, or whatever it's called...), the guy who 'passed' me must not have filled in the rest of the clan, so I never actually got to join. Oh well :p

I was in the Monkey Island Spork Clan with Mort-Hog many years ago. All we did was screw around with the grapple hook for hours and hours. One time five of us grappled each other in a circle, and we started orbiting around a tower. It was glorious.
I'm just a little boy.

I was in Demons of the Darkness - and we used Demon in front of our names. The webpage is gone though

Massassi is the only site where I still have it in my name, even though its long dead. I was co-leader of it though. Some great times were had in the clan. Eventually we expanded to too many games (JK, R6, TFC, CS) and it fell apart.

Oh well!

I was in TFS (The Force Syndicate), TDF (The Dark Force), and Wolfbro (The Wolfbrothers).

I was in a lot of small clans (Sheep in Space!) over the course of playing JK and even submitted a couple of clan levels to Massassi under different names... as DsA_Wind, as PC_Masquerade, and honestly I can't remember if there are others. I'm sorry the second map is so disturbingly bad, I just wanted to use a JED plugin I had found. :P

In the end, I joined Element and played for a while as Element_Night before quitting JK completely.

While reading this thread I felt like I should be nostalgic or something, but it just didn't happen. The Zone was a crappy place and I'm glad I don't play there anymore.
2005-06-18, 8:49 AM #32
The only clan I ever joined seriously was JGV(jedi gunner vigilantes), mainly because it was run by two guys I went to school with. We had some good JiO fights against HDK...

Once joined 9 clans in one night for a laugh. Another time me and another guy decided to see if we could recruit more newbies than JE, we got bored at 62 recruits.

I'm the co-founder and webmaster of NDS (Napalm Death Squad). We've been around since 1998 and started in Quake II and Jedi Knight. Today we mainly play JK CTF (NF), but some of us dabble in newer games. We've changed the name of the clan a few times (NaR, HOTH, DaRK, and SaGE), but we've stuck together for the most part, and always seem to come back to using NDS. We played on IGZ for years, but we had the most fun during the jediBoard/Qtracker/ReconDroid years.

Used to be in ICJ (Inner Circle of The Jedi), now I'm just inactive. Was a small clan, but I was one of the "Council" members and the "Level/Canada OP". It was great fun before people stopped playing JK on the Zone.

Thats funny, your TSM came before ours, then we found out about it like half a year later, and some of the members of your TSM joined mine.

I used to be in a clan called JO (the Jedi Outcast clan, yeah, I know it is an extremely horrible name) for Jedi Outcast FF CTF. We had great times, playing together on public servers. We also had a short stay on the TeamWarfare JO CTF ladder but that was when people were leaving the game in droves.

I might actually join a clan for Battlefield 2.

Have massassians ever thought of even just creating a group of players for certain games to casually compete on ladders and such?
