We were so elite, we even put it in our name, to remove all doubt. EJM, the Elite Jedi Masters.
Looking back, it really wasn't a great name. But, I love the initials, so I don't care. Speaking of bad names, I was EJM_Sir_Charles. You see, I originally entered through the AoE2 devision, and thought the name would fit (coincidently, the AoE2 division died within days of my joining).
My only reason for joining EJM was because my friend just happened to be its leader. I quickly went up through the ranks. A few months after I joined, there was a schism. Half the clan left to form a new clan, led by my friend. A few of us stayed behind though. We dropped from around 30-40 members, to just 10 members. We entered a rebuilding phase. The problem was, half the members hardly ever played JK during this time. I hardly ever saw anyone on the Zone. All we ever really did was post on the forums (provided by Emon, who did more work than anyone else during this time). So, the rebuilding went slow, but we stayed with it, because we were a close community.
A lightning storm damaged my modem, and it took a while to buy a new one. When I came back, EJM seemed to be doing alright again, with over 20 members. This was also right about the time JK lost its popularity. EJM just kind of fizzled out.
A few EJM members went to our ally, Knights Reborn, so I followed them. KR simply wasn't the same. I never went anywhere, or got to know anyone, in KR. I was more like an observer. In my mind, I consider EJM my first and only clan.
My friend tried to bring back EJM for JO. I didn't join it, and it didn't last very long, though they did do well while it lasted. I believe Det was a member of their Gunner devision.
I know there have been a few other EJMs as well, with no relation to mine. As I said, it's not a very good name. Not original at all... But I sure do love those initials.
