So I finally got my iPod Mini

Mine's smaller. For £50, I got the 256MB version. With a little compression I can fit on a whole FF soundtrack. And it's bloody small.

Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Yeah, its a little bit crazy. Essentially everytime you add or remove stuff on the iRiver, you can choose to update the database. If you update it, the iRiver will take a little longer than normal to turn on, as its registering the new database. I can't say I've ever had it take 5 minutes, but it does take a tad longer than normal. But its not bad, because once the thing is on, it runs like a dream.

But yeah, unless you update the database, it only takes the normal time to boot up.
yay for not posting much ever

The H120 is not a microdrive player. It's roughly the same size as a 20 GB iPod.

The only real competitors for the iPod mini are the Zen Micro (I can vouch to how nice it is), the Rio Carbon (a good player but people say the sound quality isn't as good as the other microdrives and I've had bad expiences with Rio's products in the past), and the iRiver H10 (which I was impressed with at all).
