I think it's Billy Joe Armstrong, and yeah, he's not got the best voice, but damn does he use it well.

Live 8 has a projected audience of 5 billion?

Wh...what? 5 billion?

That's... that's 85% of the Earth?

That is.. so... woah.

(It would be nice to have seen the other songs they did - does anybody know what they did?)

I've been watching all day on the MTVH1 megamix that Viacom should keep, and bring VH1 back to videos. But that's another discussion.

This concert is our generations Woodstock. (The first one, the big, important one, not the one where angst rock and bottled water made kids riot)

/wants the whole thing on DVD.

And The Who, Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Coldplay, Will Smith, Geldof's "I don't like mondays," and everything else was excellent.

McCartney is rockin' the place. He's got so much energy that even though the TV is WAYYY over there (like you can see my room), I'm singing along to the songs, and I NEVER do that while watching music on TV.

Just amazing stuff.

Live 8 sounds good, wish I had a television device.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

Oxy, because of the announcers, it's pretty annoying listeneing to solid awesome music and all of a sudden, "THAT WAS SO AND SO WITH SO AND SO SINGING TOO!!!!!!LOL!!!!!" being shouted by the announcers. England is better than our VH1 and MTV team...

I wish I was there. To say, "I saw Pink Floyd when I was a teenager..."

Wow.
2005-07-02, 4:27 PM #58
Ahh well, if it's on MTV and VH1 I won't be able to see it anyway. I've not got Sky.

Hmm [offtopic] bought bf2 today, lovely game! [/offtopic]

Yeah...that number is inflated big time.

I have nothing against free concerts for good causes. It's just the idea behind this one makes me kind of laugh and roll my eyes.

Fell asleep around 7.15 this morning while Linkin Park (bleh!) were playing...

Hopefully they'll release a really comprehensive DVD or something.

They just released the last one apperantly, so I guess you better wait 20 years.
Wait... wait... let me back up here, there's something catching on the little "input" box in my head right now... hold on... Oh, there it is.
DEEP PURPLE WAS IN BERRIE?!?
Man, American TV sucks. They only showed Philly (1 million+!) and London (OMG TEH WHO AND PINK!).

-I gotta find that website with all the performances...
2005-07-03, 1:12 AM #73
So..now that it's over, any links to mp3s of the whole thing?

EDIT: I don't think this is illegal, but if it is delte the post.
