Evidence of Iraq's alleged ties to al Qaeda would have nothing to do with his job: he wouldn't be anymore privileged than any other of the government bigwigs in the Pentagon or White House. Or the 9/11 commission, for that matter. Second, your general never claims that the Iraqi government gave money to Ansar al Islam. He's credible enough, but you need to work on reading comprehension.
