Who's up for some AVP2, Massassi style?

Right, I'm hosting a game of Aliens vs. Predator 2, and it requires v.1.0.9.6 to play.

Here are the relevant specs, for anyone who's interested in participating:

  • The game name is "Massassi".
  • The game is Team Death Match,
    Aliens/Preds vs. Marines/Corporates.
  • The password is "gbk".
  • The game is played entirely in the map "Compound", which is the one with that big, open grassy area with the trees, and cliffs, like from the first Predator movie.
  • Max players are 10, 6 Marines/Corporates and 4 Aliens/Preds. The teams are official, though the scoring is not affected, because there's no way of doing that in the game.
  • Matches are 1 hour long or 80 frags or 2000 score limit.


If anyone's interested, please post here. I am NOT arranging games via chat, I just don't do chat, ok. If you want to play, give me your confirmation HERE. Also, players need to keep their Massassi usernames when playing, it makes things a whole lot easier, and it's also more fun to know who you're incinerating! Finally, I'm going to be playing as an Alien drone. Who's with me?

Only got the first. It would be cool if we could get some massassi games up for other titles. Like CS, Rainbow Six, etc.

I've been gone a while, so I only just got back and read this.

Right then, how about we have a vote of games/demos people would be interested in.

1) AvP2 MP (demo)
2) Jedi Knight (with mods and custom maps)
3) MoH: AA (full game)
4) Unreal Tournament (the original, full game)

Right, make your vote and I'll check back. Either we play a game today, or we leave it for a long time though, cuz I've got exams coming up and today is the last day I'm willing to host a game (of course that doesn't stop anyone else from hosting a game).

1) Daft_Vader
2) SAJN_Master
3) Evil_Tofu
4) Noble Outlaw

I have to walk my dog before it starts throwing down a hurricane outside (stormy weather lately) at my parent's request.

SAJN (see, I got your name right eventually! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] ) I'd love it if you were with me, on the alien team.

Tofu, you and Outlaw can be marines or preds, then we can start. 6 is fine as well though. Yes, ideally, I would like 2 preds, 2aliens, and 2 marines/corporates. Start signing up then, and hopefully we can have a game going by 4:30 Eastern Time.

Do these team arragnements suit you guys?

it was 1.0.9.2. There should have been at least 2 other MP games in the browser. Something must be wrong on your end. Turn off firewalls etc...

I saw your game for a sec, but the piung was horrific. Plus, it booted me when I tried to join. I think I should host it.

I think the problems been that we have differenrt versions. Make sure when you search for my game you turn all the various filters off.

(edit: Oh, I see, I'll host it again. You tell me when you're ready to join. Or you could just join a specific ip address. Mine is 192.168.0.3

Maybe the game doesn't like your sat. connection, because I couldn't even connect via the IP addy.

That would also explain the bad ping you got from me, because it shouldn't have been over 150ms
