I heard rumors that they were planning one, and also they were going to do Rebel Assualt 2 as well, but those are just rumors, any one can confirm them? By the way what happened to the Jedi Knight fanfilms?

Haha, there's no way.

But I'll start another rumour right here. They're going to make a Jedi Outcast 3D movie with extended Jan/Kyle-scenes. That's right, you'll get more wooden love scenes.

I want to know where these rumors came from. They probably aren't true anyway.

I wouldn't want a fan film anyway because I don't like seeing Star Wars nerds try to be actors and actresses. It looks . . . awkward to me for an unknown reason. That is why I didn't bother d/ling Revelations.

Actually, there was some one on TF.N saying he was going make the entire Jedi Outcast game into one big cutscene... or a serires of cutscenes perhaps, haven't heard of him lately though.

TO JDKNITE188: You've never seen Revelations have you? OR for that cause Knight Quest, or A Question of Feith, or Broke Allegiance, those are worthy of the title of Star Wars... And I heard the rumors on an old Jedi Knight Fan Site, and I probably could do a Jedi Knight Fan Film, but I lack the money for stages and all. Speaking of which, I know some one in theatre, who knows a lot of people, soo cross your fingers, I'm going to call him now...

Yes, I believe they are going to call it Jedi Academy. It is going to use the same engine as the Jedi Outcast engine, and has new sabers.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Dark Forces
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Jedi Knight (III): Jedi Academy

Mysteries of the Sith is not included in this list because it was an expansion pack. JA, however, is not. Although still based on the Q3 engine, it is a completely separate game to JO, and does not require JO be installed to play.

Although JA is not officially called "III", one can logically conclude that it is the third successor to the JK title and that the Roman Numerals were dropped because they were simply starting to make the franchise look too **** old.

Technically, JK doesn't have to be installed to play MOTS. You just need a JK CD2 to unlock MOTS the first time you play it.

You bring up good points, but, I believe, if LucasArts/Raven do not officially consider JA as III of the JK series, then JKIII is still open for development.
