August 27th 2005. A day that will...Rox0rz my b0x0rz

I decide to do the smart thing and go to bed around 3:00am the night before System of a Down tickets go on presale. But no worries. I'm all set. I had my mom put in all her creditcard information the night before, and I made a sign that I put on the bathroom door that says "Wake me up before 9:30 - Thanks"

Crap! I wake up on my own, it's really bright out! AHH! I run down my hallway, look at the clock...9:57a.m, Holy Crap! So I run downstairs and then......casually check out the forums for 3 mins...then RUSH to the ticket site! *click click click* Yes!

9:59 a.m. - 1 min till presales
10:00 a.m. - Hit refresh..no page
10:00:03 a.m. - Hit refresh..no page
10:00:06 a.m. - Hit refresh..no page
10:00:09 a.m. - Hit refresh..n-OMFG PRESALE!

So I purchase tickets...

It gives me the ground floor, but it gives me tickets for section 3! I don't want 3 I want 2 right infront of the stage. SMACKDAB in the middle, right in the FRONT. So I toss those tickets...More section 3....again....Section 1....Again....Section 2!

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:02:05

Ticket #'s 1 and 2! Yes! The perfect tickets! I go to cash out and...NOOO! I need the last 3 digits on my moms credit card. She's at work! I don't know her number...So I call my dad.

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:03:21

"Dad, moms cellphone isn't on."
Well she's at work.
"Yeah, but she told me last night if I had a problem I could call her, but she forgot to turn on her phone"
*dad gives me number*
"OMGKTHXBAI-=^_^=-"

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:04:34

So I call my moms school just to get one of those automated services. I need to wait till it finishes just to get to a secretary.

"Hi, is Mrs.Del Sesto there, this is her son, and I'm not really sure of her extention"
Sure, one moment...

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:05:29

Okay I found her, I'm putting you through to her
"Thanks"

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:05:45

"Hi, mom?"
Yeah, sorry. I forgot all about that, I just remember when you called
"No, problem"
Did you wake up on time?
"Yeah, 3 mins before."
Okay, so what do you need?
"The last 3 digits on your card"
Okay, here they are ###, try that.
"...Yep, it worked! Thanks Mom!"
Okay, no problem, bye
"I love you."

*bleep bleep, bleep bleep* 10:07:12

*click* *rays of sunlight blast through my monitor*

*bleep bleep, ble-* 10:0-Crisis Averted.

Yes! Wahoo!

Yes, we have come up with a system that will make your life far more convenient...of course, you'll have to pay more for it.

Anyway, congrats. Not much of a SoaD fan myself, but I'm sure for someone that is, they'd be great live

Convinience charge is one of the many reasons why Ticketmaster sucks.

I think it's because I bought the presale tickets instead of waiting for regular tickets to go on sale. Maybe it isn't. I'm not worried about it ^_^

I saw System when they came to Austin, TX in April. It was a ridiculously awesome show! You'll enjoy it for sure.

My next concert is the Gigantour when it hits Dallas, TX...Megadeth and Dream Theater headlining. August 2nd can't come soon enough.

Holy ****, I didn't know anyone from Massassi lived in Austin. Dude, I live in Round Rock. I thought the closest person was THRAWN up in (???) Dallas I'm guessing?

Didn't know anyone actually lived in Central Texas with me.

My August 27th will be better.

There's no way in hell you'd get me that close. I'd lose my hearing. Which is bad 'cause then people could sneak up behind me in Counter-Strike. :(

Eh. SOAD is okay. Good tickets nontheless. :)

man, i wish SOAD would come to BP.

Personally, I think you're getting ripped off. Great seats, but the band...meh.

I go to UT so I am in Austin during the school year. I'm in Ft Worth right now staying at my parents house since I opted not to do summer school this year.

So you're saying that he's getting ripped off because he isn't seeing a band that YOU like?

I expected to pay a lot more for these. Like maybe $10 or $15 more than I did. But after paying the $900.00 in wallet rape taxes, I think it evens out :p

Oh, that would explain it. Now that you mention it I somewhat recall seeing your name in that area of the map as well.

No, I'm just saying that for a SOAD concert, once the pit breaks out, you can probably push your way up to the front from 10$ seats.

What?

You said specifically "Great seats, but the band...meh."

Nowhere in there does it say anything close to what you said above.
