Sin City's definetly one of the best comic-book-brought-on-screen attempts. hmm... just saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy yesterday, made me chuckle, but since i've read the book, it wasn't all that funny.

the actors who played the President and Ford were godly superior, though.

Episode 3 and Batman were amazing.

I really liked Sincity also, but I hated that Golden *******, IMO ruined the whole of the atmosphere (yea I know he was in the comics though :P) Marv was the best character though. Totally COOOOOL!

I didn't even see Episode 3 yet. Oh well.

I was expecting in-depth reasons why films these days "suck" when I opened this thread, but all I saw was angst.

I didn;t like Sin City. I really thought it was a waste of my 7 bucks. Just didn't seem to be my kind of movie. Batman Begins was good, as was Episode III.

obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

I liked War of the Worlds, except that in the end his son somehow found his way back to his mom's house, despite the big explosions and stuff.

I didn't care much for RotS, but I much enjoyed WotW (despite the ending). If you can't find any decent "American" movies, you're either not looking hard enough, or just don't have any taste. I'm not much of an elitist, so maybe it's just easier for me to enjoy movies.
