Holy crap, it's been there for eons :) Well, at least for a long time.

1. Yes, it is an avatar.
2. I turned avatars on for a brief moment to see how it would look, and after I added my avatar I noticed that it still wouldn't show up in threads (even new ones I started).
3. So I looked into the templates and noticed that the avatar display code was stripped out.
4. I then turned avatars back off.
5. It's not possible to have avatars default to OFF, that would take a bit of custom coding (no big deal really).
6. However, I don't want to do a drastic change like that while we are still on vb 2.x, we really need to upgrade to 3.x first.
7. I saw a dude posting on a jeep forum and every thread he numbered his sentences/thoughts like this.
8. I found it very annoying.
9. What do you think?

1. I think it is extrememly annoying too.
2. I like the cleanliness, but submit to others who may wish to turn them on - I shall not.
3. Some of us don't need made up names to be cool. Brian, Tony, AKPiggot and I for instance :p
4. Fish is nice, especially on wednesdays.
5. Juztyn is like me, extra 'specially cool, because we have Ys in our names.
6. Just one more point.

It'd be nice to have a say... 50x50 avatar where people could post custom designed ones, not those cheap imitations. It should however be an optional item. And you should have to turn them on, not turn them off.

I don't think avatars would ruin massassi, so long as they were small, but signature pics should remain a big no no to me.
