And this is straight up statutory rape. It doesn't matter if you are a girl or a boy, you are still very impressionable at that age and taking advantage of that is victimization. Now, while something similar could be very damaging to a girl in the end, a boy will just put a notch in his belt and gloat about it. The teacher, however, knows better than this and should be prosecuted.

I agree. Even if she was/is ill, you would think that she would realize what she was doing and the potential impacts.

You're right she should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But remember also she does need help maybe not to the extreme of metal illness but she needs to be reablitated so that when her prison term is up she can reenter socity and not do this again. Her lines between right and wrong have obviously been distorted and on that level she needs help. But insantiy, I agree, to have sex you have to have your wits about you and you definatly know what you are doing.

Or had moral/religious standards that prohibited him from doing so, there are a few out there that still have those. I'm not saying I'm one of them cause well I'm not but you understand the point. :)
