Resident Evil 5 (PS3)

Real life is certainly much softer looking than most games. I also encountered real bloom today when I came out of the post office and looked at the recipt in the 90 degrees sunlight. :em321: . It burned.

That looks awesome. I was really not caring about the PS3 until I saw the screenshots. Now I MUST get it!
Considering he's not made up of under 1000 polygons anymore, I'd say his look was bound to change.
Putting aside the fact that it's all extremely more detailed and looks a lot better, that doesn't mean they needed to change his overall build. Yes, the graphics look excellent, but to me, that character doesn't look enough like Chris.

I wouldn't say they changed his build so much as his face (weird as that may sound). If you notice the second picture, look at his arms. He's still built like a tank.

They did change his face a bunch...

Chris always had a more slender, youthful face.

Well it goes without saying that a character should change between games. People change. people age, put on weight etc.

His facial structure isn't going to change that much.

Now, we aren't counting Resident Evil: Rebirth, because they changed the character design around a bunch as well.

So lets just do Code: Veronica, in which Chris is REALLY close to as he was in Resident Evil.

Now compare that to the new Chris.

Now, I could understand how they went with Leon, as he was much older in RE4. But.. Chris.. no. What the heck guys.

Whatever he looks better now. The old one looks so fruity.

what the hell are you guys talking about? he looks like he's actually been fighting zombies now. kinda beaten up.. doesnt have a chance to shave.. you'd wanna bulk up a bit too if you were fighting off armies of the undead. or just do so much fighting you'd end up gaining muscle mass naturally. im sure it'd be hard work.

seriously. wow, you guys. add facial hair and some bags under his eyes and it's the same guy.. his 'facial structure' didnt change. he just looks more realistic now.

Not like it matters, but I wasn't commenting on his facial structure or features alone. I guess, as far as his build is concerned, it's not that bad, it just seems a little off because he doesn't seem as tall and his torso seems a bit too small. But, they've also changed the modelling style to be a bit more "realistic", right? So, there are bound to be changes. If they brought back the rest of the characters from RE 1-3, for instance, they'd probably look a lot different as far as their overall body structure is concerned.
