My.....spider just died.

I have this spider, that I keep in a jar. I catch flies for it and I help breed all the other little spiders. Life sucks. Why did Charlotte have to die!?!? :((

In JK, this wouldn't happen, because the SetLifeLeft() cog verb allows you to set the timer an object has left until it is destroyed and removed from the level. Use SetLifeLeft([object], [time in seconds]); I hope that works for you. :)

Why is the answer to why always why? Why is there no final answer to why? Simply why not? Holy cow, this is pretty deep, meaningful **** I wrote. Glad I wrote it down. Oh man."

I used to have a pet spider that lived in the window above our front door and eat flies and moths and such, but one time he tried to eat a miller moth and died in the struggle. :(

Still, all good things must come to an end, even if they are only going through their natural life cycle at 0.00000001...

The question is; will your computer last that long?

As long as it has a constant, near infinite power source, I don't see why not.:p
2005-07-29, 5:46 PM #13
Re-route the power to your comp, problem solved. haha that reminds me of that kid who took the power out in an entire state to make his music downloads go faster. That was such a good story.

May your spider rest in peace in that big web in the sky... or something.

I suggest we make a program to simulate a pet spider. Maybe a HL2 mod where you can interact with a spider in this level with the gravity gun? Maybe something like Black & White?

Or maybe we could just find a black widow to bite Ubuu so he can permanently visit his spider...

Just remember though...the answer to life, the universe, and everything, is 42. Whenever you question why he died, just think "42".

Or possibly just get another spider. That should do the trick. Maybe teach him to do tricks like bite your hand? Suck blood? Crawl up your leg to make you dance oddly?

Sorry, you don't have my sympathy though...it runs in my father's side of the family that we generally don't like spiders. And I take after my father. They don't scare us...we just don't like the ;)
I had a blog. It sucked.

Holy living christ! Jesus of Nazareth! *&% that's large! What species was that? And what did you end up doing? Looks like a somewhat unpleasant situation you had there. Care to elaborate?

Oh man. I had the coolest spider in the world about 2 years ago. I went on vacation to my grandparents (best place ever) and I stumbled apon a huge spider so I put a stick in a jar and got the spider into the jar. At first I was wary if he would survive but right away he started making a web in the jar. The next day, he had the entire jar mapped out with his web. So I started feeding him. This was one kick *** spider, he would eat ANYTHING I put in the jar.

Grasshoppers, HORNETS, daddy long legs, flies, stouts, anything. It was so awsome to watch a hornet and a huge spider duel it out to the death, or watching the spider tear the limbs off the grasshopper.

Eventually one of my cousins decided to take it out to the dock, and a bunch of cool cats threw it out in the water. :rolleyes:
Got a permanent feather in my cap;
Got a stretch to my stride;
a stroll to my step;

You suck. Spiders rock, they eat all the annoying nasty bugs everyone hates.
I remember a freind of mine once reflexively tried to crush a spider with a book, I relexively tried to smack it out of his hand, and smacked it into his face instead.
The good news is the spider got away :D
You can't judge a book by it's file size

I had a run in with an overly large spider just yesterday. I live in BC so we don't get many big spiders around here...the biggest I've ever seen was probably the size of golf ball (diameter wise, including legs) but the one I saw yesterday was insane. It was like the size of a softball (same thing, diameter wise, including legs) The thing was huge. I couldnt let this thing exist in my apartment so I spent a good 20 minutes hunting it down with a huge pair of bolt cutters. Eventually I pinned it against the ground and snipped it to pieces. Good riddance.

Except spiders are annoying nasty bugs themselves. They spin webs everywhere that you walk into and get all over you. They leave cobwebs in your house, and they are just completely freaky. Kill all spiders!!! (Waits for spider Al to show up)

If there were no spiders on this planet, we'd be eaten by other bugs.
