What political group are you?
2005-08-18, 5:07 PM #1
...I'll probably regret making this poll since it might cause tension among the members of this forum but I've always wondered what the majority is on this forum. The group that seems to be the most vocal on this board has been liberals. I haven't heard too many conservatives speak out much and its not easy to see who is a moderate or not. No need to post what you are - just vote in the poll and we'll see from there.

Moderate . . .

Liberal on environment, abortion.

Conservative on money management (taxes, spending), federal expanse (bureacracy should be small but efficient), death penalty, big business/private sector.

I find it hard to consider myself conservative and associate with the current administration just because of tax cut / spend lots economics. However, 9/11 has addressed certain necessities, regardless of their cost.

It's 50/50. The liberals are just more vocal.

I'm a liberal on social issues, but a conservative on economic issues. Trust me, at times, it gets very confusing and it becomes hard to form an opinion on issues.

I'm an anarchist. See, from my experience there are four types of anarchists out there:

http://www.infoshop.org/index2005.html
These kinds of anarchists are the people that like to protest everything and spread word about how the government is screwing us over.

http://www.londonclasswar.org/news.htm
These are the kind of anarchists that support the violent overthrowing of capitalism. These are the people that throw bricks at cops and destroy officials' cars.

http://www.hottopic.com
;) these are the 13 year old kiddies that think they are rebeling by buying corperate made anarchy merchandise

and lastly
http://www.tacticalmagic.org/
this site is a bit abstract, but this kind of anarchists attempt to keep people informed and make world a place where it's easier to do what's right.

I fall into the last group. While I believe that an anarcho-socialistic (is that a word?) society would be the best way to run things, I don't believe it's ever going to happen in modern countries. I believe in rebeling when there is a reason to rebel, and usually that reason is to try to make the world a little different, and just a little bit better.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

I lean towards the left, but I dislike most political parties.

Left versus right really depends on your background. Coming from my point of view, Massassi is far right.

Anarcho-socialistic...that has to be, by far, the most idiotic oxymoron I've ever seen. Anarchy is the lack of government right? And socialism is an economic type that's controlled by the government right?

WTF?

(your views may be valid, just find a better word to explain it)

I'm part of the "Rob" party.

We like to make decisions with our hearts instead of the word we use to define ourselves. We our honest even if it hurts, and speak our mind, as is our right. We stand for the people, both the big and the small.

We are not excepting new members, because there is only one. Me.

Enviromentalism IS important.

However, it does not need to be so god damn extreme important. A little conservation can go a LONG LONG way. However, these OMGGLOBALWARMKINGROFLCAKE people need to freaking go somewhere and die.

The earth, human influence or not IS NOT, WILL NOT, CAN NOT sustain life forever.

Infact, the environment is perfectly capable of screwing it's own self over any time it pleases.

Yay! You get it!

I'm not being sarcastic in any way. There are too many moronic environmentalists out there who do know what the **** they're talking about.

I'm a flag-waving, bush-voting conservative.

I support:

-The Iraq War
-tax breaks for the rich and for business
-lower taxes
-smaller, more efficient government
-Social Security reform (and ultimate discontinuation)

I oppose

- Abortion
-wasteful social programs
-gay marriage
-higher taxes
