Actually, this conversation got me wondering about whatever my family has hidden away. We're mostly a very peaceful people, the Kilpatrick/Joneses. Except for, you know, honor killing and my grandfather being a war hero. Well, I looked around the family vaults, basements, etc...

Found this in an old chest of my grandfather's things, http://parangaricutirimicuaro.blogspot.com/ak47-2.jpg

This was stuck in an old cookie jar http://dragoncollector.free.fr/img/articles/articles%20mai%202004/bayo%20US%20longue%205%20E.jpg

Foundt his wrapped up in an old carpet in the attic, http://www.daylightmasons.org/Pix/MM/scythe.gif

This was stuck in the closet under some old wall paper swatches, http://inghro.state.id.us/museum/images/CannonCivilWar.jpg

Turns out the old firepoker was really this nifty thing, http://www.knifecenter.com/knifecenter/cas/images/038-PP.jpg

Our old bird feeder has been hanging from this for 30 years, http://www.dukewhips.com/8_Plait_Duke_Latigo_Bullwhip.jpg

Found this in the old lake out back, http://www.medievaltimes.com/giftshop/600/3%20excalibur%20silver.jpg

My uncle (mother's sister's husband) brought this with him when he came from China. He says it's been in his family for thousands of years, http://www.battleorders.co.uk/acatalog/1180.jpg

This was found when my cousins built their house way down in El Paso. it appears to be three katanas, all engraved, one with "To my brother Bud, the only man I ever loved", http://www.shopusmore.com/images/ebay/4pc_kill_bill.jpg

This has been in our back yard for years, but I never knew what it was, http://www.toy-soldier-gallery.com/Articles/LFH-18/LFH-18.jpg

This was sitting in the kitchen, and I never even wondered about it until now... http://www.patrickkellogg.com/travel/images/Fat%20Man%20Bomb%20At%20Atomic%20Museum.jpg

-Aside from those, no I really don't have any weapons.

OK, so they were, in order:
An AK47
A Bayonette
A Scythe
A Civil War Cannon
A Scimitar
A Bullwhip
Excalibur
Green Destiny
Bill's, Bud's, and Beatrix's Katanas
A Howitzer
Fat Man

-So, no. Just the hatchet and a few lightsabers.

The katana I've bought today is kind of cheesy, in retrospect (yes, the handle is plastic) so Ive decided to return it tommorrow.

I've already ordered this:

http://www.kingofswords.com/product_info.php/products_id/8588

It's actually sharp, has a nice design which I like after reviewing the others (obviously, there are others that are better, but I'm not willing to spend that much), is within my price range, and is $10 less than the one I bought first. (shipping included.)

I'm thinking of starting a collection with more expensive swords later.

I had one of those, the same design, and it broke quickly upon combat.

I am both of those, and I love the epee. ;]

Some of these katanas are meant for display only, be sure that the sword has full contact use before you order it.

Personally, I plan to keep them mostly for display, so contact use is beside the point, although I would prefer to have at least one full contact sword eventually.

This is a tanto; this, however, isn't it.

It's quite a bit longer, has no guard, and the sheath looks exactly the same as the hilt, so that it looks like one solid thing until you unsheath it

And it's curved

Ah then that, probably, would be a wakazashi. b ut now i check spelling, because i was off on tanto

[edit] Ok, its wakazashi. Tanto's can be curved, and whether the sheath looks like the hilt is more dependent on the maker then type of katana.

Here is an image to clarify: Top is tanto, middle wakazashi, bottom katana
