Things you hate the most...
2004-05-21, 5:28 AM #1
The one thing I hate the most is:

The Los Angeles Lakers. They have brought so much pain, and suffering to my body and mentality that I cannot fathom watching them. In 2000...they made me cry. 2002...the made me cry. This year...they are still making me cry. I hate them so much.

What do you hate?

Yeah Carlin is the king of "this annoys me." And the funny part is, most of the stuff that annoys him, annoys me. It would seem like overkill if it all wasn't so true.

Let me see... the thing I hate the most?

It would have to be MMORPGs. I've seen people play everquest/ Final fantasy XI, or whatever, and it practically obsesses them. I enjoy getting into a nice fps as much as the next person, but after an hour or two of playing, I get bored and begin doing something else and actually get something useful accomplished. I like to live in the real world.

However, these MMORPG people live through their computers. It's pathetic. I've heard of how people pay huge ammounts of money on ebay to buy some sort of item/weapon to use in these games, and what they buy isn't even real and can't be used in real life, yet they spend real money on it. What they focus so much of their time on is something that is utterly useless to them in the long run. These people barely even sleep, they live on junk food, and they're too damn stoned on MMORPGS to get up and see how much fun the real world can be.

So, basically what you mean is, you hate the people who obsess and base their lives around MMORPGs, right? You don't actually hate the MMORPGs and the normal few of us that occasionally play them.

I hate the MOORPGS for addicting these people in the first place. It's how the games are designed. (you can only save in certain safe places, etc. which keeps you playing longer to look for a suitable spot)

I knew people that were cool and fun to hang with before they started playing, but after they started, its practically all they would ever talk about. At worst, they end up hooked and plugged into the online rpg matrix for hours on end.

But.. that just isnt true, you can log out anywhere you want, you can play as long or as short as you want. Thats the whole beauty of the game, you can play it however you want, if a person wants to play for 15 minutes a day, he can, for 6 hours a day, thats fine too.

Paint the picture, what do you mean?

I'm flattered that you guys think of me as a stud and all, but I never recall forcing any of you to think of me like that. If that is how oyu regard me, I had no active role in doing it, you must have made the connection for yourself.

I simply give advice in some cases, and then I leave it up to you people to decide what to do with my insight.

Take it or leave it, it makes no difference to me.

Anyways, I have as much right to post what I dislike here as much as anyone else here does.

I hate people who lick and suck on their fingers after they ate a meal. The fingers come out of their mouth all oozing with saliva and grease and shiny with the new coat of mouth liquid. The sounds these people make, like a baby slurping on a pacifier, when the are recently finished wetting their finger skin can get on the nerves. Then, without a care, they touch things nearby with their moistened digits and get their bodily fluid on handled objects.

And who says those who play the MMRGijghs dont either? I am not a big fan of the game, but I am not about to jump out and assume these people hate life and dont want to live in the real world.

And you are right, post what you hates, the intention of the thread.

And I can see right through you. I know your type. Something bad happened to you when you were little..had not friends...made a change, got kissed by a girl once and now you are a stud. How do you like that assumption?

True, I did have a breaking point, and that is what got me started on becoming who I am now. It was difficult, and the price I had to pay might be regarded as being too high-- I had to sacrifice pretty much everything about who I was before i could start improving myself and begin changing into who I am now.

However, compared to the reward I got (and still am getting), the price of giving up who I was was nothing to pay.

I skimmed most of it because crap like this annoys me the most. But if you often post on a Star Wars forum, a forum where a good percentage of the talk revolves around three games called "Jedi Knight" and a thing called the "Star Wars Universe", does this not in ANY way make you the LEAST bit nerdy?
