Go **** Yourself Mr. Cheney
2005-09-10, 9:07 AM #1
I found this hilarious. Some local NO resident on live TV tells Dick Cheney to (topic title). Link to video on the site.. warning, language. :)

http://thinkprogress.org/2005/09/08/cheney-runs-into-trouble-with-the-locals/

Thoughts?

I personally think it's funny someone finally says something to him. The idiot just laughs it off of course, forgetting that he did the exact same thing a few years ago.

LOLZIER IMMATURITY IS HILARIOUS...

Not.
2005-09-10, 9:11 AM #3
How is that immature? I'm sure a hell of a lot of NO residents feel the same way and would like to do more to Dick Cheney than just tell him those few words.
2005-09-10, 9:13 AM #4
Jesus christ, I hate the guy but he's the Vice president. Show a little respect.

Show respect when respect is given.

And a "title" doesn't give you automatic respect. You still have to earn it. I don't think he's done anything to earn an ounce of it. Especially during this chaos.
2005-09-10, 9:17 AM #6
Sure and I'm not sure what special reason NO residents would have to dislike him. Beyond the typical partisan reasons, that is.

I think it's pretty funny. I could think of a couple people that deserve to be told that more though.

Do you tell your girlfriend to **** off if you don't like what she's doing? No.

If you do, stop dating. People like that don't need to breed, and don't deserve someone patient and caring enough to deal with that kind of crap.

You don't tell the school principal to **** off, you don't tell the dean to **** off, you don't tell a cop to **** off. Logically this extends to the Vice President president. Respectable authority figure or not it's immature, and serves only to make that guy look like a royal idiot. Destroying him in debate would have been respectable, and mature. Telling someone to **** off, is not.

If you're going to do it, hats off to you. You're the one looking like an ******, not me.
2005-09-10, 9:24 AM #9
I didn't really like Bill Clinton but I would have never of said anything like that to him. Theyre both leaders of a great nation and to say something like that to his face ultimately puts whoever said it and their hometown to shame. OMQ teh HUrricane WAS BUSH & CHeneys FAULT mgh..mg.dmas.mdm.............

BUt yes I disapprove of CHeney doing it too, lack of respect but I think he learned his lesson, unlike this guy
This is retarded, and I mean drooling at the mouth
2005-09-10, 9:25 AM #10
Actually Rob, I do tell whomever doesn't show me respect to **** off. It doesnt matter what their title is, if they disrespect me first, they don't deserve me to respect them. So yes, I will tell them what I really think of them. I'm not a pussy who keeps his real thoughts inside of a person, nor am I two-faced. If I don't like you, I'll tell you to your face. If you don't like it, tough, dosomething about it.

I've told many cops that I think they should **** off or kiss my *** or to shut up if they were being pricks to me. They can't do anything about it, if you voice it as an opinion. Just like I'd tell anyone that deserves it to **** off.

I could care less if I look like an *******, because as I said, I show respect when I am shown respect. I don't kiss ***.

And it's not the hurricane that's Bush and Cheney's fault.. It's the lack of response from them.

Im wondering if Tempermental is the guy who said it, he seems pretty bent on defending him

Thats good for you.

However, he's NOT disrespecting you.

I'm also curious to know if you understand his realm of power doesn't really include disaster relief. The president was the person that needed to make the order to send the army to New Orleans, not the vice president. Unless of course.. someone shot the president...

Ooooh, tough guy.. We're all.. really intimidated.

Really.

I mean it, we really are.

I mean, you laid a dormant threat.. possibly physical. I'm e-scared.

Thats a lie. Unless you're suddenly above human nature.

You aren't.

Like I said, not Cheney's realm of power, you want Mr. B.

Is Cheney an important part of the Bush administration? Yeah. Does he make the final discision, no. Now, if the senate had some say in this whole ordeal, then yeah he'd be the guy you could POSSIBLY call foul at. But even then, not really.
2005-09-10, 9:49 AM #14
Even if you disagree with Chaney, or Bush, I doubt either of them would show you personal disrespect. I think you're idea of respect is obscured by your own ego. Respect isn't doing what you want them to, it's disagreeing with someone and still having decency. You, however, don't have that. How could someone ever find it in them to respect YOU, by your rule of thumb.

Even if your girlfriend *is* the Vice President of the United States of America, stopping dating her (him) would hardly affect the fact that she (he) still owns your arse. A very strange allegory.

Telling the V.P. to **** off for the response times in N.O. is like telling to Jacque Chirac to **** off for the same reason.

(In case some of you missed that one, it's because it's stupid and you're blaming someone who really couldn't do that much about it)

Actually, the president can't send in the Army, at least not in a law enforcement capacity. He can send them in for humanitarian aid, which he did. The governor, however, can send in the National Guard which she delayed for some reason.

Seems obvious to me that the federal response was proactive but hindered by the state.

Also interesting that Tempermental's logic excuses Cheney dropping the f-bomb while providing no excuse for the schmuck in this topic using it.

What are you talking about? I wasn't threatening you. I was telling you what I was like in response to all of your assumptions about me in your previous post.

I was making a general response based upon observation. Every time you post, you make yourself look more, and more like a meat headed jerk.

As much as you claim to not care, you really do. You want people to feel intimidated, for them to feel like they're inferior to you. Welcome to humanity. It's a long, screwed up, and *** backwards road to nowhere and back. full of jagged edges and hypocrisy.

[Too lazy to quote the guy(s) who talked of TEH POWARS that be]
And yeah, thats what I meant. To be honest, I don't think they would have needed the army as a police force, if GASP, they had been there much sooner to help. Which is what I SHOULD have specified.

Sorry.

A last note;

Respect is not automatically given, to anyone. You said this yourself. So why the hell should anyone respect you? Especially if you're just going to flip out and start telling everyone to **** off. Thats as bad as the toddler in the super market throwing a fit because their parents didn't get them candy.

You seem to want your way, and when it's not your way it isn't respectable. Atleast thats the way you tend to make yourself look.

whatever, I think it's awesome!and the whole thing about "your girlfriend".. that's COMPLETELY different.. same with a principal or cop..

----------------------------

a cop is different because he lays his life on the line to protect people, and he worked his way into the position through hard work

Cheney lays OTHER people's lives on the line to get money, and he is an elected official.

----------------------------

My girlfriend (this one made me laugh)... It's nothing like that.. it's be more like someone grabs some random girl who is a *itch, and is (not very good at what she does, hint hint) and says.. THIS IS YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!!..

with a girlfriend you can choose for yourself who your girlfriend is.. with voting, you still choose in a way.. but what about all those people who DIDN'T vote for bush? This guy was probably one of them...

Well, he's not that important... It's not that big of a deal.

That guy is just an idiot. He not making some thoughtful critique that could actually hurt Mr. Cheney. He's just doing something a three year old could do: He insulted him. It accomplished nothing.

BTW why does every one hate Cheney so much?

"Jesus, stop ****ting all over Temp's thread just because it's Temp's thread. If anyone else posted it, it wouldn't be this stupid."

Like someone said, it's not cause it's Temp's thread - it's because of his opinion on the matter.

And he did say "Thoughts?"
2005-09-10, 11:44 AM #37
I'm crapping on this thread because it's stupid. I didn't think the video at hand was funny, never did, thought it was sorely disrespectful, etc. I stated my opinion. He then proceeded to defend his. Trust me, he crapped on his own thread enough that what others did doesn't really matter.

Besides, what are we supposed to do, not post our opinions? That would quickly kill massassi.
